I tried explaining to my dear sweet mother what dubstep was last night. I even started doing the "dubstep dance". She probably feels like she has failed me as a parent.

My mom came to one of my old band's shows when we opened for a band called Anal Blast. No one fails their parents quite like the Pea.

My moms is a Mormon. Super-Mormon. Literally everything I do in my life is a disappointment to her.
Literally. Everything.

Isn't being dissapointed in others part of being a good Mormom? In a way you're helping a Super Mormon fight the good fight.
All kidding aside, I'm really sorry to hear about that dude. Religion deviding family is always a very awful and painful wedge. My cousin, who is gay, got married a couple of years ago and didn't have a single person from her imidiate family attend the wedding. They are having their first child this year and it will more than likely never have support from my family's side.

I decided to go with a Pretty Lights headlining show instead of this as well. I'm pretty sure his set would have been the highlight of the show anyway. It is a lot closer and cheaper. The Gorge would have still been killer though.

Oh, my bad. I don't disappoint my mom. She is so fucked up, it is kind of hard to. I think I feel an Eminem song coming on.

My mother asked me if Hurricane Irene is giving us any trouble; I think she might not even know where I live.

Too bad that wasn't a registered user. This board really needs more consonants.

Quite a few of my friends drove up to The Gorge for this and they all had the same to say about it as you did Lahey. Sounds like I really missed out but with school and what not, I cant really afford to have such a potentially brain-cell-killing weekend in the middle of the semester.

I heard the Gorge was over-run with sixteen-year-old candy ravers with glowing pacifiers in their mouths this weekend.
I'm hoping they grow things like Identity so we get fewer of the damn rave kids at Sasquatch. It was almost too much for me this year. I'll be honest, I can really dig the cool flashing lights but the sound of dubstep makes me want to punch something, and I think it's kind of the same thing as like Dave Matthews Band -- my objection begins and ends with and can't get beyond the fanbase.
