What are your emotional reactions to turkey bacon, shax? People who eat turkey bacon can be trusted for the most part, but I think they have skeletons in their closet. I personally wouldn't trust them around the elderly.

Camping for 4 nights...not without food and good food at that:-) We go crazy on the food, have a full camp kitchen, 3 burner propane stove, and a BBQ and we will have full gourmet meals at least 2 a day while at Sasquatch. We just got back from Coachella 2011 and I seriously cooked for 50+ people every single morning we were there and a couple of nights too! Breakfast is the biggest deal because you are in the campground the longest in the morning and we found the greatest invention for breakfast! It is called "Batter Blasters" organic pancakes in a can...yes you read right, in a spray can like a whip cream can! Makes really good pancakes, throw on some fresh fruit and some whip cream and you are stylin for breakfast in the campground:-) Everyone was really freaked out when we pulled out the canned pancakes but there was not one person of the group of 55 people that camped with us that were not totally sold on the idea after eating some of them. Another easy and very tasty meal for camping is Hobo Dinners. Put whatever kind of meat or no meat at all if you are a vegetarian, but kielbasa, ground beef or chicken works great, add carrots, potatoes, lots of onions and whatever other vegies you like, some salt and pepper, wrap in foil, throw on the grill for about 20 minutes on each side and WALLA' you have a hot delicious meal that took about 4 minutes to fix and warms you up good! There is a whole thread of recipes on the Coachella message board on great camp food. Not sure when you would have time/energy for two fancy meals, but sounds yummy nonetheless. Breakfast, yes, but since there is no re-entry the only other time is the end of the day and it will be like 12 or 1 in the morning at that point. If people can party at 12 or 1 in the morning I am sure I can put together something wonderful to eat. Food preparation is not nearly so time consuming as partying! Also, I am old...perhaps that explains it...lots of experience cooking and partying:-)

Also, the more you prepare beforehand the easier it is there.

We should start a geriatric sasquatchers club Oh man....did I miss the info about only 12 year olds being able to post here? Perhaps they just allowed us on this board to change your diapers and babysit! Seriously there is no age limit to music appreciation Shaxspear, but when you come out of puberty perhaps you will learn this:-)

I'm not saying you are one, Shax, but people who make fun of people in their thirties, forties and fifties for coming out to live shows are absolute shit. I see this all the fucking time, BroDudes and DudeBros being loud and condescending to middle aged people dancin' on the grass or smokin' a joint at a show. It makes me angry to the point that the only two things stopping me from beating the shit out of them are the awareness that that is exactly what they want to have happen and the fact that I am either physically or psychologically incapable of throwing a punch.

Yes...my daughters really get ticked off when people act as though I should not be at a musical event:-) I also have a medical condition called Alopecia that makes me for the most part bald...lucky me....except for a pure white mohawk that I ROCK:-) Lots of people stare though and murmur and silly little girls in the crowd point and laugh sometimes and my oldest daughter (who just happens to be gorgeous and 6'2") gets really agro about it all. Guys for the most part are cool after they meet me and I get a lot of "great mohawk" comments and that sort of thing from younger men but if they make fun of me they do it behind my back. I don't care in the slightest however because I absolutely guarantee I will be having more fun than most and I do not need ANYONES approval to enjoy music which by the way certainly is not just for the young:-)))

I get pumped up when I see older folks jumping around, dancing, and smoking joints. Really solidifies the idea of how cool and universal fun at Sasquatch is.

I think it's the best. Not only are they completely not irritating like a lot of people my age tend to be, it gives me hope for my future. I can't wait to be a total mom at shows when I'm older.

As a parent of 2 boys they hated it when I would hang around their music and stuff. My youngest wanted to make sure i was there to take him to Sasquatch but once there he really didn't want to see me much, lol.

I love older people at Festivals, I was so sad to hear that Grandma Hugs of Shambhala festival died this year- at least I got to meet her- the most rockingest old woman in a camper to ever grace a festival full of drug use an shenanigans.
Wait... what was that about a 6'2" gorgeous daughter?

My Grandma's brother has alopecia, I always liked his shiny head.
I agree with HG, music is personal and universal and I absolutely want to continue to enjoy it all throughout my life. When I see people who are older than the normal demographic at shows it gives me hope for my future, because if they can be badass and rock out then so can I. That and they have way more experience than any of those dumbasses making fun of them so it is just so laughable that they should be expected to care what those haters think.

Man are people really that immature? Whenever I see someone on the older side at any shows like this, all I can think is, "Man, oh man, I hope I'm that cool when I'm older."
