yeah, that song fills my mind with jump ropes and slit wrists, too. Well at least I know you took the time to read the lyrics. That makes me happy I guess.

HG was at the store. That is in fact exactly what I would have posted after reading those WKD lyrics.

Speaking of Bright Eyes....you know that new Man Man album that everyone is raving about? It was produced by Bright Eyes' own Mike Mogis. He has really established himself as a brilliant producer in the the indie music scene. You guys should know that I am not one of those Bright Eyes fans that only raves about Conor. I equally respect the work of Mike Mogis and don't think the band would be nearly as good without him.
Edit: I was just reading that musical mastermind Nate Walcott from Bright Eyes also contributed to the album as well. Crazy. Life Fantastic has contributions from 2/3 Bright Eyes members. No WKD though so you can all rest easy.

Fuck...He's 31 now? I thought he was one of those people that is perpetually a 19 year old alcoholic emo kid. I will listen to new Bright Eyes and report back. The adult sound isn't sounding appealing but we will see how it goes.
31...perfectly in my age bracket now. If I was the kind of gal that would hookup with a band member for the sake of hooking up with a band memeber, I would get with Conor Oberst. It would be sure to be the worst sex of my life, but everyone needs a low point.

Switch is right, this is exactly why people make fun of him for liking Bright Eyes.

I listened to new Bright Eyes. The enhanced production values make Conor's voice more bearable but they aren't moving any mountains with the creativity of the music - it sounds like the 90's. I wouldn't turn it if came on a boombox (yes boombox, for the 90s) but would not buy an album with my own money.

Really good ensemble. You have to credit musicians for going out there and putting out something at least decent. People familiar with musical structure and quality will appreciate it and everyone jumping on the mainstream wagon will completely miss out on the value. I used one of their songs for a german video i made in highschool about 6 years ago and i can honestly say they communcation they are able to make with their music is inspiring. thats what music should do.
