It's like you're trying to convince me the Antlers are dance music. I was so sad when I heard their new album is just an EP, I was going to get my boogie on. Shit, a sports thread go de-railed, lumpy is going to be so happy. So yeah, my sports team is better than your sports team.

Holy shit that was faster than I expected.
You got a dancing cat and a joke about me dancing to the Antlers, was it worth it?

Well folks... it's back. Personally, my favorite part of today is reading all of these poser comments about a fan boycott.

Meh. I don't have much interest in the season right now. When football is over in February that may change.

I plan on a half assed boycott which involves not going to games or buying any hockey stuff. It won't make much of a difference in Vancouver since they always sell out anyway, but I hope the smaller market teams get lower attendance this season to send a bit of a message.

Oh blah blah blah daver, you know you'll be all over that shit. As will most of these assholes.

I don't normally go to many games anyway and I just got a new jersey last year so it's not like I'll have to try very hard to pull off my half assed boycott. I will still be all over watching games and getting hockey fever, but I'm still a bit annoyed by this whole mess.

Is your half-ass boycott because of the players, or the owners? Please explain.

Just general frusturation with the whole situation.
They can all go on about 'love of the game' and all that bullshit, but in the end this dispute was entirely about money so as a general 'fuck you' to the whole lot of them I just won't be spending any money on the sport this year.
In the end I know it won't make a difference and I will come crawling back once I remember how much fun I have watching games with my friends, but I'm still pretty pissed that the whole league got shut down for about 15% of the last 10 years. Hockey was finally starting to gain some ground with the big NBC contract this year and they went and fucked it up.

Am I the only one that isn't bothered by the players?
I look forward to others boycotting... makes it easier for me to get tickets.

Am I the only one that isn't bothered by the players? I'm with you here. Maybe they just spun it better (probably) but it never felt to me like they were the unwilling bunch in these negotiations. There are not enough bags of dicks in the world for me to smack Bettman across the face with.

Word. I don't feel entitled to anything as a fan. If they want to negotiate for higher pay, have at 'er.
