It IS a bad idea, which is why they are trying to prevent that by not selling camping passes individually, and premiere only as an 'upgrade'. It's worked in the past, and in the past it has caused massive fucking problems. I wouldn't count on getting away with it this year. I really hope this new ticketing structure will keep non-festival goers OUT of the campground.
I agree with this, I don't think that came across in my last post. I think that having all-inclusive tickets will definitely discourage people from showing up to camp w/o tickets in hand. And, as emptyfox said, there were fewer daily tickets printed this year than ever before, which will also discourage this behavior. The point I'm trying to make is this: seeing how efficient/competent the Gorge staff have been in years past I don't see them turning away as many people as they should given the rules.
