I am not going to voice my opinion about whether or not it is wrong to download torrents but I absolutely do not think anyone should use this board for these kinds of activities. Its not that hard to find torrents. Go to Btjunkie.org There you go, search for anything you want. No need to post any more links.

I am currently on my mobile device so I can't delete the post, but I will be doing so if the poster doesn't do it himself. What you choose to do downloading wise is none of my business but posting it publicly is not ok.

Much appreciated.

I am curious: What's your opinion of downloading movies and tv shows, gramma?

Movies, no. TV shows, fine - do it all the time. That is a completely separate conversation, though. The technology that makes it possible is the same, but the implications couldn't be more different.

How is downloading a TV show any worse than downloading music? I didn't really want to get into this argument but that part doesn't really make sense to me.

I should clarify that I'm not torrenting TV shows, I'm just streaming them. However, for the sake of the argument, cable companies have turned something that used to be free into a commodity. That's the difference. It's free unless I miss it when it airs, so why the fuck should I have to pay Amazon.com $2 to see it?
It's not that complicated.

oooohhhkkaaayyy.....
Just trying to be nice ... This is a vinyl only release and Wayne himself is alright with sharing Lips music because he knows that if you like them and you know you do / will you will buy stuff from them, go to the shows, spread the word.
Not to mention the link is on the official and unofficial Flaming Lips website forums.

Direct quote-
When asked about the impact of filesharing on musicians, Coyne said, “We have benefitted from this idea that if you don't have very much money, but you still want to hear our music, we would - rightly or wrongly - encourage people just to download it and have it.
"For our music and for our fans, I think this has been of great benefit to us. We feel that if you hear our music and understand us a little bit more, you'll really love what we do. That means you may buy our records, buy our T-shirts or come to our concerts. One avenue is taken away, but it opens up other ones.”
