He's an artist. He doesn't care what people think about him, so he does whatever he wants. There doesn't have to be any depth in it.

I guess you could say he's like Lady Gaga. They both do crazy stuff on stage and off, whether or not it's for attention, but couldn't give a shit what people think of them.

I. Cannot wait! For this show!!!! Flaming Lips, that is. If you look diligently you might see me, I'll be the fearless freak, front and center in a froggy hat, looping out on some boomers. Flaming Lips are pretty much the only reason (love you, Foo's) I bought my [craigslist] ticket. I could care less what other bands I'll miss while staking out the mainstage for that perfect center spot. YEAH!YEAH!YEAH!YEAH!YEAH!YEAH!YEAH!YEAH! yee-HAW! "She said 'I can be a Sasquatch.....or I can be a Yeti....I could be the Loch Ness Monster, or a big plate of spaghetti." I look forward to exchanging sweat and energy with you websters.

I already know I'm going to touch the bubble and cry and will consider my Sasquatch trip complete. It's all I want.

I'm kind of curious why they've decided to do the Soft Bulletin again. I mean don't get me wrong, I think it's great but they just played that for NYE. Why not pick a different one? (Mystics!)

Why the fuck would they play At War with The Mystics over The Soft Bulletin? Also, they haven't played it anywhere in the Northwest yet.

No that is lame. The Soft Bulletin is perfect. Lets not even talk about changing this.

Yeah I'm pretty sure all of maybe 4 people at sasquatch will have seen the NYE show. It will be new to pretty much everyone there.

Well...you can't blame a fan for dreaming! I think you might be the only fan that would rather have AWWTM over The Soft Bulletin.

Ohhh I don't know, it's possible. I'm also one of their newest fans. It wasn't until shortly before the release of Embryonic that the name Flaming Lips came to mean something more to me than just some band whose name sounds like that shitty group the Violent Femmes.
Murmer about it all you like, but I actually used to live under a rock. But when the Lips kissed my ears at last it was like folding into the warm embrace of.....well, you know the rest.
Anyway, maybe this would be a good time to just put it out there that MY favourite Smashing Pumpkins album is Machina. I'm pretty far out!

I would rather hear Zaireeka, with one part played by the Lips and the other three parts played by Bright Eyes, Pink Martini, and Biffy Clyro.
