I would rather hear Zaireeka, with one part played by the Lips and the other three parts played by Bright Eyes, Pink Martini, and Biffy Clyro. This would be amazing.

Anyway, maybe this would be a good time to just put it out there that MY favourite Smashing Pumpkins album is Machina. I'm pretty far out! Ouch.

It's a good album, better than Adore anyways. But nowhere near their best. Why do YOU like it more than the others?

Did something I said really just get used as a sig? Awesome. Well, I thought it was just that good. (I've been on here for two years and it took me this long to graduate to "Young Sasquatch" as of this post.)

It's a good album, better than Adore anyways. But nowhere near their best. Why do YOU like it more than the others? The first 3/4 are fantastic... Raindrops + Sunshowers, Stand Inside Your Love, I Of The Mourning, Try Try Try, This Time, ...and all lined up in quick succession? I dunno man, I love the Pumpkins, I truly do. There's just something about the sound of this record for me,...I don't know what kind of equipment they used to record it but in my opinion it has a very unique wall of sound that's unlike any of the other muzak I had been listening to previously. I also have a big wet spot for Zwan, which was the first record I ever heard which actually uplifted me and made my angsty teeny self want to NOT kill myself after all.

I also don't like Sublime or the Ramones, Bruce Springsteen or Green Day. I hope this won't be a problem.

Okay so The Flaming Lips has been a band that I've tried 109302988209 times to get into. I think I may have finally done that with The Soft Bulletin. Took a few times but imagining the music with the Gorge backdrop did it for me. Very excited

Gang, have you ever seen them play before? No I've not. It'll be my first. I had a friend that offered me a free ticket back in 2008 for the Marymoor Park show but I think I had to do something that day...

The vibe of a Lips show is worth the price of admission alone. It truly is joyful. I think you are really going to enjoy it.

Seriously first time I saw the Lips, I had never heard a song by them before; remains my favorite live experience ever.
