And bury the $40 I spent not even a month ago?
Maybe I could use that shovel to plant a money tree...

I know this was a few pages ago, but I've had a pair of Vibram's Five Fingers for a while now, and I would highly recommend them, especially if you're naturally flat footed. I have no arch, so the lack of support had usually made Chuck's my shoe of choice, but after a while even those give me that customary sharp pain in the center of my foot. Vibram's do take a few weeks to wear and retrain yourself, but if you love running around with no shoes, if you love barefeet, they're a great, (though somewhat pricy,) buy. They dry out pretty fast, they increase muscles which translates to stamina for alot of people. Douchy or whatever, (which may mean I'm just biased and live in a socially oblivious sect of the U.S.,) they're amazing if only for the fact that I truly forget I'm wearing them, plus the add ability of sensory perception that they come with, (i.e. feeling sand and rocks, and grass while wearing them) make for a very interesting experience. Aside from a National Show last October and an Interpol show in January I've worn these to all my other show going experiences, they stand up well, even with the sporadic foot.

Vibram's Five Finger Shoe's, that's the KSO model, (Just KSO, not the Trek or the Sport,) You can go to their website or REI. They're generally not carried in most shoe stores, mainly specialty hiking, and outdoors stores, it's really hit and miss. You do really have to try them on first, because they are supposed to fit like a glove, so the standard, "wiggle room we generally give ourselves in normal shoes are painful mistakes in Vibrams. www.vibramfivefingers.com/index.htm

There aren't really any that they make specifically designed to be waterproof and able to be used out of water, which is the only downside in my opinion. But you never have to worry about losing them, or them falling off, which happens to some, if you're already ok with flip-fops/sandals/crocs, getting wet, and by proxy your foot, then when your foot gets wet wearing these, that shouldn't upset you either.
The benefit to these, (mainly during the day,) if the shoe gets wet, and the begins to dry it always feels like a mini refrigerated units for my feet. At night I tend to wear the special toe-socks for them, and though I may feel moisture coming in from either a drink or random liquids, my foot tends to stay warm, and it will dry in the shoe, (essentially I've never experienced that wierd chaffing, sticky feeling you get when your sock gets wet.)

If you do I would do it soon so you have time to break them in... again about two or three weeks, you do have to retrain yourself how to walk around in them. Maybe it's just me and my partner, but whenever we have them on we just want to run and jump off of everything... It's quite enjoyable to perpetuate that adolescent mindset, that's the only reason why I got her a pair too, so we can run around like little kids in the adult wonderlands, like Sasquatch.

Totally not making fun, in fact, I think I was the one who brought these up in the first place. "The human foot is the ultimate machine." I think I definitely want a pair of these. I remember in soccer practice we spent a long time practicing barefoot, because if you kick the ball properly it doesn't hurt your foot. One of the most valuable lessons I learned from soccer. I imagine the retraining process is a doozy, but its probably totally worth it.

Sambas have been mentioned before, but they are the best shoe ever. I got my first pair when I was five and they still remain my primary shoe. They last for ever also. I had one pair for 3 years.

^ dude, YES.
I bought my first pair of Sambas ever about a year and half ago and I'm still rockin them. I wear the shit out of my shoes too so I'm surprised they're still holding up. It's definitely getting close to time for me to buy a new pair though. Only thing that sucks is I can never find a size 13 of them anywhere :/

Not once. But it gets hilarious reactions.
I like to think I`m just fat enough to make it funny, but not fat enough to make it gross.

Have you ever used this site? That price is ridiculous, absolutely ridiculous. On a side note in the few months I've been in my Vibram's I've definitely seen a massive reversion back to my football days, (muscle gain and muscle endurance,) as well as a much welcomed increase in my overall vertical.

I love dealextreme. I order stuff of that site way too often; well over 1000 dollars of stuff so far, most of which is useless. So many lasers though...
