Ginger carrot sounds all kinds of awful. You don't know a god damned thing about soup!

I made such awesome leftover turkey soup last week. I just boiled the shit out of the carcass all day then split it up into two pots and pulled out the bones. Added tons of veggies, hot peppers and a handful of rice and it turned out so good. It was such a good "cleaning out the fridge" type soup. And now that we've got the post xmas sickness, it's awesome to have a freezer full of spicy good-for-you soup!

Soup is the shit because you can pretty much take any leftovers and turn it into soup. I made jambalaya the other day and took the leftovers and made some gumbo because gumbo is pretty much jambalaya with a roux, some stock and okra.

I was making tuna for dinner and my roommate recommended I use salad dressing (like a ranch or caesar) instead of mayo. I must say, I am quite impressed. And not only do I like it more, but according to the label theres 40% less calories in the salad dressing. Apparently all this diet talk has gotten to me.

Soup is the shit because you can pretty much take any leftovers and turn it into soup. Soup is my favorite food of all time. all kinds. And you're absolutely right about leftovers. I made fucking chicken pot pie soup a few weeks ago. Legit shit. I especially love finding ways to get creative with veggies in my fridge and whipping it into a comforting meal in a steamy bowl. I also love soup because a huge ass pot of it also can last you several meals.

... fucking ... Legit ... whipping it ... in a steamy bowl. In a thread about mastication. The nerve of some people :-)

I thought about adding in the huge ass at the end, but then I thought that would have gone too far.

So, I made that tortellini soup last night. This was the best and most wonderful decision. It was incredibly good, pretty healthy, and HG said it was one of my best soups ever. Not a great picture, but here it is.

Felt like trying out something ethnic tonight. Turned out fricken delish and was super easy as well. Browned pork tenderloin stewed in a sauce made with whole vine tomatoes, garlic, shallots, tomato paste, lemon juice, chicken stock, sherry, rosemary, sundried kalamata olives, chick peas, dates, honey and spices. Served with some lemon spinach cous cous.

Cool to have a literal chef on the board. I cook a lot believe it or not, but every time you say, "this is easy," then name four ingredients I've never owned in my life, I understand how low my level of cooking is. Maybe I'll join in on the fun and post some food pics next time I cook. Does Ramen look different in Canada?

Does Ramen look different in Canada? It's pretty much the same except we add cheese curds and gravy.

Sweet jesus yes. I like the idea of the horseradish with the sour cream. I'm gonna use that for sure.
