Damnit, I thought of that, and then I didn't bother to post it. I think we all thought of that, but I'm glad someone posted it. I think it should eventually replace "MVP" but give him some time with that one first. Haha, you hate beer.

Yeah... I kinda do. On the plus side, no one will have to worry about me asking them for a beer.

Now you just have to deal with everyone offering it to you.

If it were MY list and the only Yeasayer song titles I could remember were on 'Odd Blood', I'd probably just leave Yeasayer off my list. There are rules about posting lists that are heavy with irritating, overproduced tripe; please review them before continuing to post or you will be banned. I gave Odd Blood my first listen this past weekend, and I pretty much hated the whole thing. I like Odd Blood a lot. (specifically: Ambling Alp, ONE, Rome, I Remember and Madder Red) Is it a better album than their debut? No. But it's not nearly as bad as you are making it out to be. Does it seem more accessible than their previous album? I suppose? - but even if it is, I'm not sure it's necessarily more accessible in a bad way - at least not in a way i can qualitatively define.

Now you just have to deal with everyone offering it to you. I'll just wear a nametag. "Hi, My Name Is I hate beer!" And another that says "Hi, My Name Is I love buds" I think that oughta do the trick.

OK, I'm not posting this to start up another argument about how much I like Bright Eyes. I think you all know how much I like them so I don't think you need to hear that anymore. I do want to suggest a couple songs to those of you who might not know very much of their stuff. This is also to show those of you that think C. Oberst is just a whiny singer that he doesn't just scream and whine in all his songs like you think he does. So if you are interested may I suggest:
Take it Easy (love nothing): give this one a chance because the layers build and build as the song goes on
Light Pollution
Smoke Without Fire: a good little folk song duo with M. Ward
Tourist Trap: a really slow song, but just imagine yourself sitting around a campfire in the desert somewhere.
I think this shows their range and the fact that not every song is Conor just screaming about drinking, dying, or whatever else you think of him. If you don't like these songs, that's cool. If you've never really heard Bright Eyes then maybe you'll find something you enjoy in these songs. Cheers.

I've never listened to Bright Eyes before, and despite all of the Conor Oberst hate and "WRONG KID DIED" stuff flying around, I figured I'd give it a shot.

Come on HG, I am in the correct thread....no harm, no foul. I am not forcing 4 youtube videos on anybody, people can choose to listen to these songs if they want to or not. But hey, someone listened to one of the songs and liked it. That's what this thread is about. Now be gone with you!! Ha ha ha!!

That could be a band name I totally agree with this statement, and they already have their band logo. Copyright that shit Pea.
