1.) I fucked up in high school; I went to a show featuring the following order of bands: Say Anything/Northstar/Hot Rod Circuit/Straylight Run. I knew of Straylight Run, but I went for Northstar. My friend and I got sick of Hot Rod Circuit and left before seeing Straylight Run. Mistake.
2.) I don't know what you're talking about; the Straylight Run self-titled and the subsequent EP were good.
3.) Everything TBS did after TAYF was lame. Agreed on that point.

Oooo! I can't believe I didn't think of this earlier! John Nolan is back in the band, actually.... Could be worth a listen? Sidenote: So fine.

I still have a soft spot for emo I listened to in high school. Thursday, Brand New, and Taking Back Sunday all have albums I listen to on occasion Hah I saw Brand New twice last year. "The Devil and God..." is still one of my favorite albums ever. In fact, ima listen to it right meow.

Also, Enter Shikari's headlining show was probably the most fun I've ever had at a concert. They are awesome live.

Oh I still love deja entendu and devil+god but your favorite weapon is 100% a guilty pleasure
my opinion of straylight run is based completely on their live show and I never listened to their albums. I went cause a cute girl asked me to go and I wanted to see minus the bear

10 points to anyone who went to a show at El Corazon when it was still the Graceland.
100 points to anyone who went there before it was even the Graceland.

10 points to anyone who went to a show at El Corazon when it was still the Graceland. 100 points to anyone who went there before it was even the Graceland. I moved to Seattle in August 2005, after the venue made the change to El Corazon. Since I only knew it as "El Corazon," I only called it "El Corazon." This led to some of the locals emphasizing their superiority to me by having been to the venue before I ever went.

El Corazon, right? yeah I was at this show too. I remember minus the bear were being lame because it was a cancer benefit or something so they didn't like people shouting out stuff. The number 12 looks like you came out to an annoyingly long intro from a witch or something fun show though

Love me some 90's/early 2000's punk (/pop), ska, etc. Even though I never went, I was totally into the whole Warped Tour scene until I was about 15. I fondly remember the days of middle school, discussing whether Good Charlotte had "sold out" or what happed to Davey Havok's voice. Most of that stuff hurts my ears nowadays, but I still listen to Blink, (90's) Weezer, Andrew W.K. Reel Big Fish, Motion City Soundtrack, Against Me! every once and awhile. I've also got a couple of songs that my friends and I always put on at parties "Teenage Dirtbag" by Wheatus, "She Hates Me" by Puddle of Mudd, and "Fat Lip" by Sum 41.
Maybe it's my british heritage, but I've also got a real soft spot for a lot of the "NME bands." Most of it I recognize as utter shit, but it's also really catchy and fun. The Strokes and the Libertines are two of my favourite bands. I don't really mind the Killers. Though I really don't like most of their songs, I can pretty much singalong, word for word, to "Read My Mind" or "All These Things I Have Done." I loved Arctic Monkey's last Album, after kinda liking their second and hating their first.

Its funny that you should mention both "Teenage Dirtbag" and "She hates Me" were both done last time I went for Karaoke. I wish we could have a karaoke machine for the board meetup... Is that even what it is anymore? Its more of a, figure out where everyone in the board is staying and stumble around accordingly at this point, amirite?
