oh yeah, through Jasper. Very scenic.
But I'm pretty sure Via is the only option for rail travel in 90% of the country.

Looks like Ms. Burrito is selling her Sasquatch ticket and making me come to Bonnaroo with her. What a drag she can be sometimes.
Here's to the Triple Crown.

Sasquatch Boarders Unite!: The Bonnaroo Chapter I wish you guys went last year! I didn't even see newjersey, though I am still convinced that I did see him. He denies this.

I met a guy who looked like newjersey from the pictures he once posted of his Sasquatch trip. He had a Pittsburgh Steelers hat on and said he was from Pittsburgh. I then countered this news with the awkward, "does the name newjersey mean anything to you?". He was then like, "No, I just said I was from Pittsburgh, man".

How much does it cost to rent one of those things for a weekend?

I'll create a Bonnaroo survival guide when I have a little more time.
Don't listen to Friendly, you don't need an RV. It wouldn't hurt, however. Canopies are a must, though. If you don't have one, make best friends with one of your neighbors who do.
Remind me to tell you about the first time I went to Bonnaroo.

How much does it cost to rent one of those things for a weekend? It's on the website somewhere. It is expensive, but if you are splittin' it with enough people it is sooooooooooo worth it. You could always rent one from a surrounding town for very cheap (we were going to do this last year but procrastinated too much). If it is as hot as it was in 2009, 2010, and 2011 you will never be able to sleep in past 7am in a tent.

I definitely intend on purchasing a canopy this year since I'm going all out with three festivals. Remind you physically or digitally?

Who's on Stamper's Must See list? It's still too early for me to answer that. Ask me again in May. They only have 85 acts on the bill right n.ow.-there's still another 60+ acts to be added. However, if I HAD to name one band... I'd probably go with Red Hot Chili Peppers. Only because I haven't seen them before and I'm really hoping they'll play Soul to Squeeze.

That's like 9:30am Bonnaroo time. I'm fucked.

My personal favorite RHCP jam.

I'm fucked. you will be hot, but you'll survive. i promise. i've said this before, but i'll say it again... if the weather is too hot, check out some of the smaller bands in the various tent stages until around 5 or so, then make your way to the Which or What stage. Also, bring yourself a water spritzer or battery operated fan. or both. And drink plenty of water.

AND - it's the only festival i know of where just about everybody plays a full set and the music keeps going until 5 in the morning. I just read back this far, and THIS is why I'm going. I need some marathon sunrise sets at this point in my life. EDIT: That, and the fact that Ms. Burrito is a freak for Folds. How long of a set will a band like Battles get to play? And drink plenty of water. Aqua is my main stuff. My name really should be jasonwater or wetburrito or something.

You don't NEED an RV. However, if you do like the late night sets and plan on going 'till they end (and you should!) then sleeping in a tent can really make it hard to enjoy the rest of the festival.
Here's my super duper Bonnaroo tips to beat the heat, but mostly how to steal some sleep in this unsleepable environment:
1) If you are tenting and not arriving with a car, take the shuttle! You will be ferried into the front of the camping area and only a 2-10min walk to your tent from the front gates. This allows you to recharge and get some shade and comfort throughout the day. At Bonnaroo it is possible to be a 2hrs walk away from your tent.
2) Bring a canopy!!!!!! this will unfortunately not eliminate the constant harassment of the sun, but it will let you stay alive.
3) Make use of the early openings of the Cinema tent, it is somewhat air conditioned and very cool. Get a chair and sleep. Only thing that sucks is that you are kicked out when the movie ends. The Comedy tent is also air conditined and has benches you can actually stretch out on and sleep. Gettin' into the Comedy tent can be a big wait.
4) Like most festivals Bonnaroo is flat ground, so unlike Sasquatch you won't often have the luxury of sitting down and enjoying a show. Basically, pace yourself! The days can go until 5am or 6am so be aware that if you are planning on seeing any early afternoon to mid day sets you will be standing.
5) Catch some rest and shade under the tents during the turnover time when one band ends and the other sets up. You can usually find a decent spot at the back of the tents during this time to sprawl out and sleep or relax.
6) There is a big ol' fountain in Centeroo, this will help with the heat, but not with stealing some rest.
7) GET YOURSELF INTO THE GARNIER SALON. It will be a wait, but it is so worth it. Air conditioned and you can possibly get your hair washed by another human. This place is heaven.
8) At the very worst you can always find a tree and get some shade, but you will more than likely be laying on soggy fries and abandoned sauce.
9) Get an RV.
In 2008 Bonnaroo was actually incredibly mild so there is proof that the festival isn't always held on the sun's surface. Though, by mild I still mean 3 times hotter than Sasquatch, but still easily manageable.
