CNN is based in Atlanta. Atlanta is in Georgia. Georgia borders Tennessee. CNN talks about bonnaroo EVERY year. Makes a lot of sense. Thanks!

Squatchcreep, my statement wasn't designed to be assholish. but having lived in Atlanta for several years - i've become used to the annual bonnaroo buzz on the news. every time the bonnaroo lineup gets released, rest-assured the Atlanta media is all over it. Whether it's local news or even CNN.
Atlanta no longer has a music festival of its own - so they're all over the nearest one (Bonnaroo - which is just 3-short hours away... roughly the same distance from Seattle to the Gorge)

This lineup is bonnaroo failing to deliver. I haven't felt this good about choosing sasquatch over 'roo since '08:) I was at Bonnaroo in '08 and I loved it.. loved loved loved loved loved.. Granted, I had never been to Sasquatch. But I still had an amazing time. I got to see some awesome bands before they were famous, got to see Pearl Jam for the first time, got to see some awesome Canadians rock out.. I had fun (but everyone likes different music right?). I had a fantastic time.. and I would do anything to go to Bonnaroo again this year. Some people aren't hot on the lineup, but it does it for me.. hard.. I've definitely talked about how hot it was there.. but it wasn't the end of the world.. I've been just as hot and warn out at Sasquatch. ('09 was like being in the mouth of hell at some points). They both have their ups and downs. I liked re-entry at Bonnaroo, I like the scenery at the Gorge, I like the food options at Bonnaroo, I like the smaller crowd at Sasquatch.. blah blah blah.. Honestly, for 80,000 + people.. I really didn't find it that bad.. and believe me, I'm not the nicest person in a crowd.. If I could do both.. I would. Had to get that off my chest! thanks

Also, the people complaining about Tennessee being a horrible place to hold a festival, have you actually been to Tennessee??

Also, the people complaining about Tennessee being a horrible place to hold a festival, have you actually been to Tennessee?? I don't think there have been people complaining. 1 person, maybe? And I don't believe he (Pea) was talking smack about the actual state of tennessee itself - just the summer weather there. And he's kinda right. The Southeastern United States heat and humidity is pretty brutal. I know i don't miss that heat! That aside, Tennessee is in fact a very beautiful state. You went to Bonnaroo in 2008? ME too! Loved it! Maybe my favorite 'Roo year. Sigur Ros was so good! But I will say that Bonnaroo 2008 was uncharacteristically cooler that year. 2009, too. However, 2007? IT was an absolute oven on that farm. And Apparently last year was also crazy-hot.

It didn't feel mild, but I've definitely had it be just as bad in Vancouver. PLUS THERE'S A GIANT MUSHROOM FOUNTAIN!! The giant mushroom fountain is amazzzziinnnggg. hhahaha. So much fun to play in. I love Tennessee.. I would go back a million times to visit. Nicest people I've ever met.

Bonnaroo & Waka were both too hot last year. People died of heat exhaustion at both.. Honestly if you think Bonnaroo is unbearable on a hot year.. Never & I repeat Never go to Wakarusa..
I'll be hitting up both again this year.. My Lemonade expenses will be astronomical.. And ass never swampier.. Bring it on!
