I'm just going to ask my question. Which Sasquatch band's frontman has a sister who has had her work appear in both the new york times and the new yorker? Gramma, you're out on this one. I know you have to know it.
PS- Do any of you guys have places that host an arrested development trivia night? There are a couple in seattle occasionally, but I've never been. I'd love to go.

Haha, I haven't read any of her stuff, I just know this from my wiki trolling.

Not any use to you, but there's this place in my hometown of good ol' Rock Hill, SC where whoever wins trivia one week gets to pick one of the categories for the next week. Thanks to Arrested Development, me and some friends won trivia 3 weeks in a row.

J-Dubs: is the answer The Decemberists? I know the dude has a famous sister, don't know what she's famous for though.
Brad: oh cool, I've never been to Our Town for trivia but know some people who have frequented and may still do. I live downtown so I go to my local which is a place called Relish on Nelson Street. Trivia is every Tuesday and it's a mix of topics, but the guy who has been doing it lately has been pretty music heavy so our team does pretty well. The bar also has $3 pints/bottles everyday, which might not seem very noteworthy to the most people here, but the Vancouverites on the board will recognize this as a great deal. There's also a place called Academic on Broadway and Fir that does trivia on Mondays. I've never been for trivia, but I know the guy who runs it. A large, lovely Aussie named Richie.

Yeah, especially for downtown. It's a different Canadian beer everyday. Examples: bottles of Keith's, Moosehead, and Pilsner; Pints of Whistler Pale Ale; and sleeves of GI Honey Lager and Whistler Black Tusk Ale. It's a "gastropub" so the food prices are mid-range but the food itself is good quality. They do buck-a-shuck oysters if that's your thing. It's small and has a nice after work crowd, and late night it gets pretty busy. Man, I recommend them to so many people those guys should put me on payroll.
Did you know that drink happy hours are illegal in BC?

I did know this. For many years (more than 10) we have frequented a small pub in New West because pints are $2 on thursdays. We also have our annual festivus party there. This past festivus it became blatantly obvious that the waitress was adding stuff onto the bill which we had suspected for quite a while. I was drunk and called her a fucking bitch and walked out. We don't go there anymore.

We had a rather lengthy discussion about this a couple months ago, at least Friendly D did with one of the movie thread guys. I believe the discussion was more about her physical appearance than her writing though.

Yeah, that's how it occurred to me. It was probably mentioned but I didn't remember why she was famous, only that she was.
EDIT: is.

Here's an easy one that I thought of because I was just listening to them:
Which music group describes themselves as "the only successful Arab/Jewish partnership since the dawn of human culture"?

Well I will still take my turn even though J Dub and Wolfhat jumped in.
What prior Sasquatch performer has released 30 studio albums, has been involved in no fewer than 15 of his own projects, and also has an extensive filmography including music videos, soundtracks, and voice work?

If you would have finished the question with, "Before his sixteenth birthday," I would have guessed WKD.

I think he only has a bunch of albums, but has not been involved in nearly as many side projects or films.

Is it cheating if I look at a list of all prior Sasquatch performers?
