I'm extremely excited to see Chromeo, mid day set or later. They're fun to listen and dance to, no matter what time of day it is.

Yeah, it's hard to remember sometimes that you can have a shitload of fun during the day too. Passion Pit comes to mind of course.

That's exactly what I'm hoping/thinking the Chromeo set will be like. Sure, it's great to see them in a dark venue with bright lights but I also think they could pull off another stellar mid-day set with beach balls and giant inflatable whales being passed around the crowd.

That's almost exactly what came to mind when I thought about how their performance might be with a mid-day time slot. If the lights were more integral to their live show, I'd be a bit more concerned, but I think the vibe from the crowd will more than make up for when they're slated to perform.

Ya, the light show is not a huge part of their show, so I definitely don't see it being a big issue. It's gonna be a fun afternoon!

It really is a shame that these guys are scheduled for Monday, because they are probably among the Top 5 bands I want to see at Sasquatch this year. I have enough for two festival days, but it would be stupid to purchase Friday and Monday stand alone tickets.
On a side note, "don't turn the lights on" is probably my favorite song of theirs at the moment!

If you can get work off Monday, Hanch, you can find free tickets.

If you can get work off Monday, Hanch, you can find free tickets. That's not true this year. If we are to believe the festival almost sold out four day wristbands, that would indicate only a couple thousand single Monday tickets will exist. Last year 25,000 people physically owned a Monday ticket. While the demand for Monday tickets will still be low, the supply will be extremely low, which means they won't be free.

That's a good point, I forgot about the wristbands.

If they are really scanning bar codes to prevent in and out privileges, I am guessing they will exchange broken/cut off wrist bands for new ones. If that's the case, free entrance to the Monday show should be easy enough to find.

Not if it's like the Bonnaroo wrist bands. I suppose you could cut it then creatively attach it together without drawing attention, but slipping off then on wouldn't be an option.

Well, you can more than likely get a free wristband for Monday. Whether or not you'll be able to get in with a used wristband that has either been stretched or snipped is a different concern. Depends on how thorough the Gorge staff is checking them. Some places just do a visual check to make sure you are wearing a wristband, while others actually give your bracelet a tug to make sure it hasn't been been cut off someone else's wrist. We'll have to see how the Gorge handles it. I'm pretty sure they've done wristbands for some people (press or VIP or something) in the past. Anyone know more about this?
Alternatively, you could befriend someone with a large wrist-to-hand girth ratio. You gotta get in there and see CHROMEO!

Went to see Chromeo at The Roseland this weekend. I thought that the show was lacking something. Musicians! It seemed more like the DJ set that I saw at Sasquatch a couple years ago. I think they just pushed play & tried to look busy.. This was the third time that I've seen them & the worst yet.. They were way better outdoor at night (Rothbury '09). Hopefully they play a later set at Sasquatch or everyone will be sorry..
