I don't care if Jesus Christ and all his angels have box seats for Bright Eyes. How dissapointed would they be about VIP camping. "It's prctically the same stupid line everyone else who didn't pay the extra money needs to wait in" "God relax, you need to keep it together for when the security guards search us!" "I don't understand why I'm the one sneeking everything in, this beard and radiant glow is already attracting enough attention as it is" "Because we dibbsed out, it's the rules and everything" "I didn't know how to dibs, it was my first time! Anyway I hope Conor digs deep, that man is like a god"

I have seen him play a few times and each time he has put on a very professional show. Sure he was a bit drunk the first time I saw him but he didn't sound off or mess up any songs. Last time I saw him with Monsters of Folk I don't think he had a drink.
If you don't like an act don't watch it. Trying to ruin the experience for people who do is just a really petty move. I really dislike City and Colour but there is no way I would miss seeing a band I do enjoy to try and ruin the weekend for a fan.
Now you can tell me I should shut up because I have a low post count.

I'll just tell you to shut up because you're missing the point entirely.

I'll just tell you to shut up because you're missing the point entirely. Alright that is fair enough. What is the point that I am missing then? I do apologize if this is an inside joke that I am not getting.

Gramma and Switch now like each other. Does this means we're no longer playing, "Hit the Switch," at the board meet-up? A+++ That is hilarious!

Conor is not a drunken drug addict anymore. If you are judging him based on his attitude when he was like 20 years old I assure you that he is very professional now and will not be intoxicated to the point that he makes an ass out of himself. You said you saw him like 10 years ago. He was 20 years old. You can't expect a drug addicted alcoholic kid rockstar to get up and put on a professional show.

When it comes down to it, my real objection is to his whiny-ass music and the fact that his voice sounds like a baby goat being strangled.

I agree I8 that there was something awesome about seeing spencer berate the entire crowd but as a big fan and having seen them five times before I was just hoping for a great rock performance that day not the spectacle that occurred. Especially since I had gotten a whole bunch of people around me in the pit stoked for it.

Especially since I had gotten a whole bunch of people around me in the pit stoked for it. Being my first Murder City show, I was amazed by that. Everyone around me(including the duck faced gay kid next to me) were just pissed and missed his entire point. Supposedly Spencer broke some chick's camera lens during that and she threated to have him beat if he didn't pay her for it or some shit. I love that man, I wish they would return too. Hell if we can get dance acts and Ozomatli two years in a row, why not Murder City?

Hell if we can get dance acts and Ozomatli two years in a row, why not Murder City? Some of the Murder City Devil superfans were saying that was Spencer Moody's best performance ever. And the chick with the broken camera, well he rubbed her face is his crotch, which is what led to the broken camera. He also frenched kissed a straight guy in the crowd against the rail. The guy wearing the pink tutu and the tank top reading 'I'm a slut" sitting on the shoulders of another man seemed to get what was going on. He was howling and waiving his arms. I can see how some people might have been confused though. It's one of the most memorable performances I've ever seen. I even tracked down the Murder City Devils Sasquatch poster artist, and purchased it (he was tough to find).

Tell me what other bands you saw before they got big; I want to give you the appropriate level of independent music credibility.

I was really lucky in the late nineties to work at most of the record stores in Victoria, BC so I got to see a lot stuff for free and in really small venues. The first time I saw MM was in a third rate strip bar called the Ice House in 2000. HG will love calling me down on this but I saw AF in a bar that holds no more than 100 people in it. I saw Nashville Pussy on their first tour. I managed to see The MCD and At the Drive In Tour. I also have all my ticket stubs to 85 percent of the shows I have attended. This will also be my third time at Sasquatch.

And as for the MCD show it was performance art of the highest level and quite a nod to Iggy Pop. I never regret being there for it, I was just excited for some of the raging non stop show I've seen them deliver.

And just for you I8 I have the Paperbag series MCD 7inch with 364 Days on it. Perhaps one of the greatest Xmas songs ever.

If the chant happens you will have some fat emo chicks chasing you Conor wont be hurt because his fake bro died and he didn"t Apparently Conor will get pissed and leave the stage if enough of us do it. Which is why I'm extra determined. Someone tell me please why the fuck that asshole is on the mainstage. Probably because he is the best songwriter of our generation. That might have something to do with it. Get past his fragile facade and actually listen, you might learn something.

I was searching for the words to refute this ridiculousness, but I think Geno said it best.
