The only time I ventured into the pit last year was for LCD. This year I will be changing that. See you there. My first Sasquatch I stayed on the hill the whole first day. I was also with my girlfriend who really didn't want to leave the good spot we had. Then I went down in front for...Animal Collective, I think? And since then I've just used my girlfriend as a placeholder. She'll come down with me sometimes, but she enjoys lounging. We've established a nice routine.

Haha way to put her to work drew! This will be my first time with my lady so we'll see what she wants to do. She'll more than likely go where ever I do though, she gets nervous in crowds that big.
I am extremely excited for this though, I'm already falling in love with half the bands I had never heard of on the undercard and I get to see Modest Mouse at least once more. Not to mention, 2 of my best buddies are flying to Boise all the way from fucking Maryland to join me and my crew on the adventure. Epic is one of the douchie-est and most overused terms in popular society today, but this is going to be fuckign epic!

You guys have already said what I wanted to say. I saw the lineup a few hours before most of you and my first reaction was huge disappointment. I was sure every one was going to be pissed about this lineup. After a few days of hearing all the great things you guys have to say about the lineup I have gotten super excited. This year I am definitely going to spend more time partying it up.

This year will be my first time attending (if I can buy a ticket in time). I attended Coachella last year and it changed my life. I was counting down the days until this years Coachella. Unfortunately the lineup and organization of the festival didn't do anything for me. Fortunately Sasquatch looks like it will fix all my sorrows from Coachella.
I was stoked on the lineup since the start, and only getting more excited. I can't wait to see the Gorge from Washington (only seen the Oregon side), camp for 4 days, and finally see Modest Mouse, Foo Fighters, Deerhunter, Flying Lotus, and many others I haven't heard of yet.
Sasquatch 2011 FTW! Now just need to buy that ticket...

This year's lineup is undeniably superior to last year's. Yes, it's underwhelming in obvious areas but it's solid. I just hope we don't have to wait too long to learn the remainder of Friday and the comics. Also, I hope Bassnectar will be playing a late night set, it would criminal if it weren't dark for that set.

I got this: by raver goggles did you mean, " Cyber Cyborg Industrial Goth Rave Steampunk Goggles WOW"? I'd buy it now, $9.99 seems like a steal.

I've been digging a lot of new bands. I've really liked what I've heard from Head like a kite and Smith westerns especially. I've also never taken the time to listen to soft bulletin, but I can see this being a really good set from the Flaming Lips, and the album hasn't even sunk in yet.
I have faith in the organizers that they're going to bring in real talent, after all, it was Sasquatch 2009 that introduced me to one of my now favorites, Japandroids. I was disappointed with the headliners, specifically because I've seen 4/5's of them before. One of the bonuses of Sasquatch for me is that as a Canadian who doesn't live in Vancouver/Toronto/Montreal, I get to see bands that I would normally not get the chance to see (guess how many times the Yeah Yeah Yeahs have come to Edmonton, Alberta). That's not going to be the case this year, but I'll still have a real good time, and I'm also still crossing my fingers that Sasquatch miraculously pulls the Black Keys out of it's bag of tricks, but I guess hope springs eternal.

I meant 4 out of the 5 main headliners. The only ones I haven't seen are the flaming lips.

Having one of my favorite bands (Foo Fighters) being anounced around the same time as Adam Zacks initial statement of this year being "big!" really shot my expectations through the roof. So, like many others on this board, I was initially disappointed in the lineup this year. This doesn't go without saying that I enjoy all the headliners (3 of 4 I've never seen live) and there are 20 or so undercards I wouldn't mind checking out.
Honestly, if it weren't for a few of the boarders here, I'd be familiar with a lot less artists on this lineup... So, upon making a few discoveries (i.e. Black Mountain, DFA, Decemberists) I can honestly say I feel a little better about the anouncement. The only real disappointment left for me lies within in the day to day schedule. There are too many bands I want to see spread across all four days! This can be tough for someone who was originally planning on a Friday (and maybe Saturday pass).
In other words, you guys are seriously making me consider throwing down $600 on a pair of 4-day passes. I need a deal sealer by monday! ;D

It'll be interesting to see if they have a different slot than other subheads. That's another thing I was going to mention is that AZ doesn't seem to care about the traditional festival expectations, in the sense that he's started this streak of non-traditional headliners and double-headliners, which is unique for a festival as big as Sasquatch.

My first reaction was literally "I've seen so many of these bands live!" but than I really started looking at the lineup, and came to the realization how amazing it will be to see some of my favorites live with even more people who are favorites. I've never been to a festival before, but when Salt Lake puts on the free shows in the summers even though there are plenty of people who just show up for the show, putting everyone together makes it for such a fun environment.
I started analyzing things further and realized how many bands I hadn't seen live, especially the few bands from overseas I've been wanting to see live for years who never come to salt lake.
Did I get caught up in the hype of the rumored bands to be there this year? Yes, but I don't care now, I'm just stoked beyond belief that even though at the moment I'm not sure if any friends will be joining me this year, that I officially have a ticket for Sasquatch and it's about time because I've been itching to attend since 07.

My girlfriend mentioned to me the other day that having the Flaming Lips play The Soft Bulletin "and more" may mean they get an extended set. She also noted that the mainstage is short a band for that day. Is it possible that slot doesn't get filled and the Lips give us a 2 or 2 and a half hour performance? This would blow my fucking mind.
