I'm going to be handing out a bunch of glow sticks to people before his set, and whatever the plan is I'll pass that along and hopefully at least some of them will join us, even if they're in different spots.
There are 10 tubes of 100 8" glow sticks each (more or less, I dropped a few when I was sorting them by color and they broke, which prompted a quick light switch rave (www.homestarrunner.com/sbemail45.html), and 500 2" glow sticks (useful for things like marking tent lines so nobody trips at night, especially me on my own tent ).
Got mine from GlowUniverse. They weren't the cheapest when you factor in shipping to Canada, but they were great to deal with - shipped less than 24 hours after I paid. One of my coworkers bought from someone else on ebay, was about $10 cheaper overall than what I paid, but they still haven't shipped. Not sure who he bought from.
Well, mrlahey along with a few others and myself will be joining together before the set. The closer the festival gets we can arrange an official meet up spot for everyone involved. It could be as easy as the VIP/sound booth in the back of the field. I think the idea of the first drop is a great plan. It's not like we can just guess when/if he will play a particular song, so I like that idea. If we're all somewhat grouped together we'll all be eye's distance from each other and can all unleash the madness together.
If he is touring around sasquatch and just not playing one show it will be pretty easy to figure out his set list. I would assume he plays 90% of the same shit at every show with the way his visuals go along with the music. Sound booth sounds like a good spot to meet up. I'm thinking if we are all in the same area it would be the best as I would love to achieve this effect @ 2:53.
As far as filming goes I will have my video camera and 60D with me so hopefully I can find a less interested party among my posse that would hang out in the back and film.
Also, I think we should Passion Pit the fuck out of this set and have hella pool floaty animals flying through the air.
