I feel the same. That's why I might stay and help clean up... if I can, ya know? You're the man, and you have really great intentions as well, but no matter what all that plastic is going to end up in a landfill. I'll stay and help though....I think I will be intoxicated enough that staying to help will actually be a privilege and not a chore. They pay people to pick up trash. This won't be the first glowstick party, nor will it be the largest. Are you guys seriously considering sticking around after a day of partying and watching music to help clean up, or are you trying to save internet face? Are you going to stick around and help clean up the Flaming Lips confetti too?

Yeah, don't put anybody out of a job, or let somebody get paid to sit around and drink coffee.

I always stick around and clean up Gwar goo after their shows. It gets my Oderus Urungus sucked a lot.

Classics was good, now I'm on to S/T. Digging El Pico at the moment.
EDIT: yeah, Crips is a great song too. So far I'm enjoying the S/T more than I did Classics.

, or are you trying to save internet face? Save internet face? Why would I care to save internet face? If I really cared about saving face then I would have just kept my mouth shut and that way nobody could associate me with this at all. To begin with I was just expressing my concern for the amount of plastic that is going to be thrown away. That being said, I am not so concerned that I am not going to participate. I just had a little bit of a guilty conscious. Let the glowstick war happen! If I do stay to pick up it will be to pick up as many glowsticks as possible to take with me, and also to play around with them because I'm sure I'll be in one hell of a glowstick mindset by then. Or maybe I'm trying to save face because I am so concerned that everyone here thinks I am a saint even though everyone here is going to be throwing glowsticks with me. Makes no sense.

I am actually more excited for Ratatat then I am for say......Major Lazer. That's just my opinion though. They will both be fun but Ratatat is definitely more my style

What do you think would happen with all of that "plastic" had it not been used at Sasquatch? Does Tiesto tour with some glowstick recycling unit that I'm unfamiliar with?

Wow, never thought I'd be harshed on for wanting to pick up some glowsticks... But seriously, I think it could be fun to hang around and pick that shi up.

Plastic is plastic and if not Sasquatch then that plastic will end up somewhere else. I shouldn't even had said anything, it's just something that I think about in the back of my head.....I'm thinking out loud basically. I am not trying to ruin the party or make anyone feel guilty. Carry on.

I'm saying the notion of volunteering your time to help clean up at any large scale event is absurd. What makes the Bassnectar show at Sasquatch different than any other concert you've left that required a cleanup crew?

The whole Crazy Glowstick Party at Bassnectar is kind of dumb anyway. Crowd participation is what makes a great glowstick war. Bassnectar is already visually stimulating. 80% of the crowd will be staring in awe rather than digging through people's feet trying to collect glowsticks to throw.

I guess since I know I'll be participating I do feel that I have more stake in cleaning up, but hey, who knows how shit will end up going down?

I think regardless of how it goes down, or regardless if JWW and I are crawling around picking up glowsticks afterwards, I think we can all agree that Bassnectar is going to be a great way to end the night in the venue and a great way to start the night by getting everyone pumped up to party at the campground.

Ratatat are amazing live you guys! Their recorded material is more album driven (which is great), but live they really know how to turn their stuff into a party. I think they will surprise a whole lot of people.

80% of the crowd will be staring in awe rather than digging through people's feet trying to collect glowsticks to throw. Guaranteed glowstick digging will be a simultaneous priority for that 80% as well.
