wow, i spent 1200 dollars buying 4 tickets for my friends and I, what a waste of money. the line up is one of the weakest i have ever seen for a 4 day festival, i like quite a few of the bands but there are no real headliners there to make me want to leave the campsite, anybody want want 4 tickets? camping at face value? maybe HG would like 2 of them since he can't buy his yet?

I still think they're going to do something big that isn't on the poster. Not like Radiohead or anything, but something big. Like an additional band? Or something special festival-wise that isn't related to the music? I still think TVotR is playing. I dunno, maybe Ben Gibbard will be bringing out some postal service stuff after Death Cab plays or something. I DONT KNOW MAN

Another one of you was right on his/her heels offering to help as well. Karma works. And there are good people here. I totally love yous guys.

This board is really something else Seriously dude, no joke. For all the arguments and dicksucking jokes, this place still manages to be like a microcosm of the festival itself.

We did something similar for a friend in MI that was going to have trouble covering costs this year. A pass isn't so expensive if 10 people split it! lol

Someone posted this on the Facebook page but Gayngs and S. Carey being there means that all the members of Bon Iver are there ...maybe?

The Flaming Lips are not known for 'skimping' on anything, ever. I envy anyone who is seeing the Flaming Lips for the first time. You will experience absolute pure joy, and that is not hyperbole. I think there is a chemical that the human brain produces only when you are watching the Flaming Lips perform. It's the most fun you can have with clothes on. THIS FOR REAL I saw them in a small, hot club during a heat wave in Munich in 2006. Midway through, an overweight, particularly sweaty, heavily intoxicated German directly in front of me decided to get naked. Not just shirtless, I'm talking full frontal nudity here (he might have kept his shoes on, not sure). He then proceeded to continue dancing / rubbing up against the rest of the crowd as if it wasn't horrifying everyone in the near vicinity. Needless to say, that was my cue to go grab another drink and find another vantage point for the rest of the evening. He left the show without his clothes as well, which makes me wonder both what the fuck security was being paid to do and how much extra he had to pay a cab driver to take him home. Anyways, long story short, while a Flaming Lips concert may not be the most fun you can have with your clothes off, it can still be enjoyed that way in some countries.

The Flaming Lips tore it up mid-day at Pemberton. Full on visual assault. Definitely my favorite set of the weekend even though I had never listened to them prior to that.

I will never forget the insane joy of their Bohemian Rhapsody cover.

I've heard a lot of people say that if you've seen the Lips once, you've seen them a million times. While it's true that have a definite 'thing' that they do, and their setlists don't change as much from year to year as we diehards might like, they always - ALWAYS - come prepared with plenty of surprises.
Case and point:
A 'Soft Bulletin' set... I don't know if I can even handle it. That album landed on me like an atomic bomb when I was eighteen years old. I had never heard anything like it; I still haven't. It was life-changing. They're playing it at Sasquatch, oh holy shit it's kind of just sinking in.

If there is a time to eat mushrooms, its at a Flaming Lips show. The sunset along with their psilocybin rich style of music will be epic..

J. Mascis is probably just playing his new, folky stuff since he's on the yeti...but some Dino Jr. would be epic
