they're being pushed pretty hard by the end in seattle and 94.7 in portland. I'm guessing the hope is that they grow in popularity in the next few months from being played on the radio also they must be planning on adding at least 2-3 more mainstage acts on friday. When they did a friday show in 06 there were 6 acts true, though they got ravaged by pitchfork. They must really suck then, huh?

I am going to get just ripped Friday night and wander around until perhaps DFA sounds like a good idea, but mainly stare at the Gorge. I will then get ripped for Iron and Wine and Bassnecter (who, yuck. But ripped, probably just PERFECT). JUST RIPPED (R-I-P-P-E-D) for The SOFT BULLETIN and Modest Mouse, and then Rrrrrrrr-ipped for Black Mountain and Rippeddy ripped to the point where my ass is fucking glued to the hill for Decemberists and Wilco. I will also see Robyn. I will also be ripped. This will justify all costs and I am looking forward to it and all you on the board before Feb 6, 2011. lol If I end up going I will make it a point to be much higher for much longer than I was last year.

Everyone, please remember this. It's important. oh, no doubt. I think a lot of inexperienced smokers forget to drink a lot of water on long sessions. very important. last year I went to bed by like 2am every night, I felt like such an old person. And the only way I could fall asleep with so much commotion going on outside was to stone myself to sleep... it worked!

Oh my god I'm not talking about weed. Cottonmouth isn't going to kill you, frying in the sun on psychedelics for 12+ hours at a time is going to kill you.

I thought the same thing. I had to really think hard to realize he was probably talking about drugs. By the way, nice work Peatrick. I don't think any thread in the history of this board hit 15 pages in a day, and this hit 50.

HEY YOU GUYS! That list isn't the order bands will actually play. The schedule isn't out yet. it's just the order that they're listed on the line up page, ie, biggest to smallest act. That's sometimes the order that they actually play but usually not. Chill out until official schedule. And just remember, the guys who make the schedule are smarter than you. They won't fuck it up too bad. They usually don't (cept for Ghostland versus Flaming Lips in 08!)

(cept for Ghostland versus Flaming Lips in 08!) I would have literally sawed myself in half in order to catch both sets. That said, NOTHING will stop me from seeing the lips this year. I have yet to see them live, and Soft Bulletin set??? Yes please and thank you.

well its obvious that Zacks took a more nostalgic approach with the 10 year anniversary inasmuch as all the headliners have played throughout the years. minus the foos. so people bitching about said headliners can always go to other shows and we'll keep our northwest flavor.
as for Guided by Voices, im pretty sure they're not as well known to the masses as you think and therefore get the lower billing. to sell tickets they need known names that the radios for the most part drilled into the minds and in some cases souls . guided by voices would get a lot of "who?"s by the not so in touch with the music seen crowd(majority, sadly)

Only children and ignoramuses don't know who Guided By Voices are.
