Disappointed. 10 year anniversary and this is it? It's like, Foo Fighters + Laneway Festival + Big Day Out...

what i've noticed is that this lineup is super shoegaze heavy this year. (sorry if this has been covered several times by others on the board) And while I enjoy some shoegaze, the genre doesn't strike me as an enjoyable live experience. we'll see. Can you point me toward some of these bands? I'm a total shoegaze sucker. I'm not sure what he's thinking of but the only band I would really call shoegaze is the Radio Dept. who are great and you should check them out. Otherwise maybe he's thinking of Deerhunter and Black Mountain who are uh kinda close?

Black Mountain is not even close to shoegazer. Black Mountain is stoner rock.

Radio Dept. really isn't either. Deerhunter definitely is, and I can't think of any others on the lineup.

radio dept. is shoegaze but yeah I know black mountain is a lot closer to stoner rock but it's as close as the lineup gets. The point was there is no shoegaze on there

I'm not really sure if I would call either The Radio Dept. or Deerhunter shoegaze, but the elements are there somewhat. I was thinking maybe there were some lower seeded bands I hadn't heard of that were of the genre. Guess not

On another news...what the fuck is Titus Andronicus doing touring with Bright Eyes?! That's happening? Man, I swear to Jeebus I read an interview a few years ago where Patrick Stickles mentioned wanting to beat up Conor Oberst.

I usually don't like electronic music all that much but I am listening to Bassnectar right now am I am envisioning one hell of a party. Usually I would turn this shit off immediately but for some reason I have a damn good feeling about this one. I am getting amped up just thinking about how cool its going to be.
