This is the best thing to play on a jukebox at a crowded bar. The best and most total cockblock.

Still will never beat the original but it's still pretty damn epic.

Ok this is important. First you have to listen to this one:
Residents - It's a Man's Man's Man's World:
And now you have to listen to this one: Molly Harvey - It's a Man's Man's Man's World
Molly Harvey played with the Residents from 1998-2003 and she is amazing to me. The cover of the Residents cover of the James Brown song has become like a fucking anthem for me. I think there is more than one video with her doing this song but they are all fucking amazing.

I could listen to this song over and over for eternity.
I'm not a Matt Pond PA fan at all, but both of these next songs are just such different interpretations of the originals and I completely love them. NMH diehards will hate me but oh well.
And if this doesn't seal Vampire Weekend as the cutest fucking band on earth, then I don't know what will.
Speaking of beautiful re-interpretations...
Lastly, this is my favorite hardcore band on earth. Pretty great cover.

Two more, sorry. For those of you who don't know who Eva Cassidy was I'd recommend you look her up. She had one of the most beautiful voices on earth and sadly died well before her prime. I think this first song has become better known for her version than the original. Absolutely breathtaking, IMO.

Thanks for saving me the trouble of hunting that down, batty. Shatner and Joe were a match made in heaven.

These are the greatest cover songs ever. They make the originals sound like the covers! So moving and interesting:)
