Hey fellow festival lovers. In my humble opinion i feel like CounterPoint is the BEST music festival. Not only because it's in Atlanta (one of my favorite cities of all time) but because it's mainly electronic music so there's a lot more dancing and far fewer mosh pits. By the way, Counter Point is coming up~ September 27-29, 2012. Check out the lineup...Bass Nectar, Skrillex, Atmosphere! You can't say which is your favorite until you've been to Counter Point. www.counterpointfestival.com

VIP passes for the Fun Fun Fun Fest are $325, and include free beer. I'm told regular prices are $7 per beer. By my calculations, I only need to drink 15.5 beers per day, and the rest of the festival is free. Challenge accepted.

That is awesome and really funny because when I was on my honeymoon in July we went to a luau with that same mentality. Mai Tais were normally $12.00. Tickets were 90. We had to have 8 mai tais each to pay for our tickets....that was interesting! haha, that fest sounds rad though to be on topic

I don't know, that lineup looks pretty awesome to me:
Explosions in the sky, Santigold, The Black Angels, Why?, BMSR, OMAR!!, Trail of dead, A place to bury strangers, fang island, Japandroids, Torche, Earth, Red Fang, Deafheaven, Pallbearer, David Cross, Jon Benjamin
Those are the ones that I would catch for sure (barring conflicts obviously)

Of the acts on the bill that I care about, the only ones that I haven't seen are BMSR and Tomahawk.
But fuck it, for free beer and Mike Patton I'd fly to Texas.
God damn, Dwarves too? Alright, have fun then.

I bet it chaps Bob Mould's hide that that fake hippie douchebag gets top billing, though.
