Hall & Oates and the eleventh opportunity this year you'll get to see Broken Social Scene? I'm not clearing my calendar. Well, I mean its on the right track for a good lineup. I'm liking the 7 bands right now. But who knows, the rest could be awful like last year's lineup.

I grew up right down the road from Gibbons. If you were to ever tell my Grade 5 self that Maynard would be putting on a concert next to my cousin's farm, I probably would have turned blue and lost my hair or something.
It's all pretty surreal.
Just wanna say I went to School with Dani Jean and used to watch Junior Brown spin at Halo before he started to continue to only spin at Halo. So how cool am I?

Plus if you knew the type of high school I went to, the fact that Sublime will be a stones throw away is something all too dreamed up and make believe.

The same weekend of Boonstock is FozzyFest, an EDM festival held in Kananaskis Country. www.fozzyfest.com/Unfortunately, I have a conflict that weekend so I won't be at either of these. There just aren't enough weekends in the summer...

I don't know if I want to go to it because of Sasquatch, then possibly this, a trip to NYC mid July and then Osheaga in Montreal at the end of July. But my lady has already turned in her girlfriend card because she has always wanted to see Sublime and really wants to see Trooper. This summer is going to kill me.

I've seen Trooper more times than I can count already, and missing them isn't going to break my heart. I am reasonably impressed with the dance tent lineup, considering it's not the focus really. I'd love to see Gabriel & Dresden again - I saw them in SF a few years back and had fun at the show.

My old roomie used to bring Gabriel & Dresden to the Warehouse. They've been to Calgary a few times and I wouldn't be surprised if they end up playing the Whiskey sometime soon.

Yeah, seriously. That is not Sublime. At best it will be like seeing a Sublime cover band perform, which I cannot imagine as being very good at all. I love Sublime, but the band died with Bradley.

I saw Sublime with Rome last year and it was great. Rome sounds a lot like Bradley, but he will never be Bradley.

Tried it. When we first met, one of our conversations was about our top performers that were no longer alive or together that we would like to see. Aside from the obvious classics one of her bands was Sublime and one of mine was DFA. This was our text conversation a few minutes ago: Her: Remember when we talked about the bands we wanted to see? You said one of yours was was DFA if they stopped hating each other? Well you get to see them 3 times this year. Me: Yeah.....but my group is still alive Her: That makes it even more miraculous that they're touring!

ugh...boonstock. I have a free ticket and I'm probably still not going to go. Sublime is my nightmare. I can't even begin to imagine the meatheads that will go to that fest.
Although that dance tent is really sick....Not going to lie I love me some LMFAO.

Soup: Bela Fleck and the Flecktones Salad: Matt & Kim Fish: The Decemberists Poultry: NOFX (Yeah fuck you I'm excited for NOFX) Meat: Primus Dessert: Arcade Fire Fruit: Lil' Wayne Cheese: Ratatat Maybe throw Bassnectar in there as a sorbet and/or Sharon Van Etten as a pre-meal drink, if we want to keep the metaphor going.
