I was just thinking you could use some ninja skills to get backstage and confront him like a stalker, but that works. Your mission should you choose to accept it.

Good lord if I got backstage and met RDJ we would just stare at each other's feet and mumble while I debated trying to get close enough to get a whiff of his idms.

I'm really trying to decode this video, and it probably means nothing, but I hope it means many more shows. Looks like one near the Great Lakes. Movement maybe.

Beyond the kind of botched handling of the whole Björk thing, Day For Night was probably the most well-run, consistently solid festival I've ever been to outside of Migration Fest.

Niche festivals seem to be the way to go these days.

Niche festivals are generally killing it, they just have to have enough appeal to get enough ticket sales to continue. It also seems to help if they start small and grow from there.
How was the attendance? Do you figure the actually made any money? It was a sweet lineup and looked interesting, I could consider it next year depending on lineup and general life things. It looked pretty cool.

It looked pretty cool. Attendance was very high, but never unmanageable. I think they made a killing. Lots of out of towners, but lots of locals too - Houston doesn't really have a lot going for it outside of this, and there was a sizable Austin contingent (naturally). And it's not like the layout was super involved - 4 stages (1 indoor), 1 merch booth, plenty of bars, a food truck courtyard, and then all the crazy visual arts exhibitions on the upper floors. I'm not sure about actual numbers but almost every act had a huge crowd, regardless of stage or set time.

Jesus fuck. The size of the lineup will probably double to triple in size, and their later phases always seem to be equally as impressive.

What day at Coachella would you pick to go to? Saturday is the day for this guy. 3rd and 4th line blow me away.

Floating Points is a necessity. Especially if he's playing with the full band.

I'm going to Coachella!! Recommendations? I have a pretty nice list of who I want to see but I could always use more. I started writing all the people I like but the list was getting way too long so I'll just put my favorite undercard act for each day. Friday - Sam Gellaitry. I've been following this guy for a looong time and he just keeps getting better. He makes super clean and creative electronic music and I still haven't seen him live. soundcloud.com/samgellaitry/long-distanceSaturday - Swet Shop Boys or Ben UFO. Swet Shop Boys are a rap group from England (?) who actually remind me a lot of young Donald Glover/Childish Gambino with their funny raps and the fact that the main guy is mainly an actor. www.youtube.com/watch?v=q4Yb8AWXgLIAs for Ben UFO, I don't think he actually makes music much but he's been tearing up the club scene in Europe big time as a experimental techno DJ. Should be a good taste of a club scene from another continent. soundcloud.com/resident-advisor/ra500-ben-ufoSunday - NAO. She cancelled on the Capitol Hill Block Party this year and I was super bummed. She makes this awesome synth-infused dance music that's super infectious and her voice is absolutely amazing, I really hope she plays Sasquatch this year. www.youtube.com/watch?v=rDhQiie7AWY
