I take back almost every bad thing I said about Bumbershoot. The mainstage issue is still one of the biggest clusterfuck shit shows to ever exist at a festival, but everything else this weekend ranged from fine to excellent, and I'm really glad I talked myself into going for a couple of days. !!!, Crystal Castles, and Matt & Kim were easily a few of my favorite festival sets this year. It was also super fucking awesome being able to walk into the park with pockets and backpacks full of booze. Thanks (lack of) security!

Yeah the Mainstage situation is fucked beyond belief. Also closure of the bathrooms before the end of the festival is unforgivable.
But all the bands have played incredible sets, and no bag checks outside of the mainstage! Woohoo!

I'm back on earth after Bumbershoot and I should say that I do recommend it in the future occassions.
Deerhunter is not a hunter of deer, but of minds and dance moves. They bring you in and suck up your mind fluids before blowing you away.
Comedy was really dark this year, I think I was freaking out when one comedian said he'd be the Joe Jackson of child pornography and was thankful for slavery.
Matt and Kim make you dance in your pants.
More reflections coming in the future.

I was there on Saturday and caught some cool shows. The Flavr Blu -> Nacho Picasso -> Kendrick Lamar -> Left to watch WSU Football --> Charles Bradley -> Heart.
Kendrick Lamar was awesome. He had the crowd going crazy. I was up in the stands watching but the GA was bananas. He had a backing band and no hype man! That dude rules.
The reason we went was because my wife wanted to see Heart really bad. I was indifferent on seeing Heart before but that show was so good. I loved it. Their entire encore was Led Zeppelin songs with Jason Bonham on drums and Mike Mccready had some guest guitarist duties. “Cashmere” blew my brains out.

I AM FAR TOO EXCITED FOR SPREADSHEETS RIGHT NOW THANK YOU!
Man, this is the only crappy part of a festival in your own town. You have to like, work and shit with the knowledge that LATER THAT DAY you'll be boogieing your pants right off to James Murphy.

c) Was the first festival I ever attended , and despite all the problems (few of which actually bothered me, personally) it remains as one of the defining moments of my life.

I'm pretty interested in checking it out this time! Although man, that's not a lot of recovery time after Sasquatch Mark II.

Has Live Nation completly lost their collective mind? This is in direct competition with Squamish. They (partially) run Squamish and the capacity is doubling next year. They have still yet to sell out Squamish, ever. That being said, I'm going to be really tempted. As with Rusty, it was my first festival and it got me hooked on music festivals. Edit: I might die next summer. Festivals I want to attend: Coachella: 3 days, 4 nights of partying. Sasquatch A: 3 days, 4 nights of partying. Sasquatch B: 3 days, 4 nights of partying. Pemberton: 3 days, 4 nights of partying. Squamish: 3 days, 4 nights of partying. That's 15 days of music and 20 days of partying.

Don't think Live Nation is putting it on. From the FAQ: Q: Is Live Nation involved in Pemberton Music Festival? Nope. Also, check out those FAQ, seriously!! If Sasquatch did one of these we would get precisely 70000% less idiots asking questions come May. pembertonmusicfestival.com/faqs

From the Faq page on their website:
Q: Is Live Nation involved in Pemberton Music Festival?
Nope.
I will be buying tickets regardless of the lineup...just for the nostalgia of it all.
