HTDA was weird. The sound seemed fucked from the back. You had to slither up close to really experience it.

Seeing Megatron at Pearl Jam would make it worth it. Send me a video of her at the show.

Let me know what you decide Shax. We are talking about it and then maybe the group of us could get a house or something.

Can some one explain to me how d'angelo is billed so high? I thought he was a pretty small r & b guy.

He's making a comeback after like 10 years away and has only done a handful of shows so far, so it's a pretty big deal.
Untitled is still sexy as all hell.

Ignoring all of the merit in his music, of which there is a ton, he's a reclusive artist from the turn of the century who disappeared at the peak of his creative abilities. This really isn't very different from any of the indie acts from that period that have reunited and played to crowds much larger than they did when they were originally around. Of course, D'Angelo wasn't a niche artist when he disappeared, he was masssssive. I just looked it up and his last album, Voodoo, sold 320,000 copies in its first week. Questlove and J Dilla were heavily involved in the production of the album which has led to it's continued legacy over the years. Thrown in the fact that groups like The Weeknd are bringing this sound back into focus and you should have your answer.

I was all stoked to see the Flaming Lips on the CHBP lineup but now I'm struggling to even pull the trigger to spend $100 on two tickets. Must have something to do with the fact that I've seen them live 7x in the last few years. Maybe I'll just wait until they come through next time.

I didn't realize d'angelo ever started to break out. I thought he was always slightly smaller and unknown. I would kill to see him.

Damn, that Sled Island lineup is beautiful, then again with John Dwyer and Tim Hecker curating, I didn't know what I was expecting.
