The European festivals have been insane this year. Totally blowing the North American festivals out of the water.

I really do think Coachella pulled the best undercard this year. At least for my taste.

Does this count as a festival? Because I'm doing it.

I really do think Coachella pulled the best undercard this year. At least for my taste. The only reason I'm still going is because I can't bear the thought of missing Nick Cave, Grinderman, Modest Mouse, Sparks, OMD, YYYs, New Order, Hot Chip, Grizzly Bear, Violent Femmes, James Blake, and the Wu. I wouldn't be able to live with myself. And all you fun people.

Because I don't think I'm going to watch more than ten minutes of any of the headliners.

I really do think Coachella pulled the best undercard this year. At least for my taste. Agreed. I was bored one day recently so I made a battle of the undercards list to see which spring/early summer festival had the best lineup (Coachella, Hangout, Bonnaroo, Sasquatch, Forecastle or Firefly). 1. To see if I was making a smart decision, 2. I'm obsessed with making lists, and 3. like I said, I was fucking bored. Anyway, when it was all done, Coachella basically destroyed everyone else. It really wasn't even all that close. I'm curious to see what ACL, Voodoo, Lolla and Outside Lands put together for the late summer/fall.

Not so much as a festival as a big concert and SUPER Canadian centric, but it's within biking distance of my house and is only $90 for what looks like two pretty fun days of shows. Matt Good, Sam Roberts, Mother Mother and Jimmy Eat World are worth it for me. Fuck City and Colour man.

I havent seen Matt Good in ages. I dislike most of his newer stuff, but Hospital Music is still one of my favorite CDs.

What's the name of that fest Weenie? I wish the Saturday and Sunday line ups were switched 'cause then I'd be crashing on your couch in a heartbeat to go just for the one day but I'm not sure I can take Sunday off work.

Rock the Shores. www.rocktheshores.com/Last year it was just a one day thing with Tragically Hip, featuring a lightning storm and horrible organization. Hoping it's better this year. And yes, any Vancouverites are more than welcome to crash!

I'm actually pretty excited about this because it's just down the road from my house. They are offering up 3- pack tickets for $99 ( while supplies last).

Does this count as a festival? Because I'm doing it. In a terrible year for headliners, I think Edge-Fest did well for themselves. They grabbed two headliners who will sell tickets. Their second line is pretty run-of-the-mill for festivals. The worst part about this lineup is their undercard pretty much doesn't exist. It's the worst I've seen. I wouldn't fly across the country for this lineup. Wonk likes to make spoof posts, and this is an example. Even though the OP didn't intend for this festival to be critiqued like a giant festival, wonk pretended it was a giant festival, and critiqued it accordingly. When he made the joke about the undercard not existing, it's because the undercard literally doesn't exist.

Last year it was just a one day thing with Tragically Hip, featuring a lightning storm and horrible organization. Hoping it's better this year. That sounds absolutely terrible. At least you got a neat lightning storm! Wonk is making a Tragically Hip joke. The OP used the Tragically Hip to identify the festival, while using "lightning storm" and "horrible organization" to signify why the festival sucked. Wonk used the lighting storm as the highlight of the festival while using "horrible organization" and "Tragically Hip headlining" as the reason it sucked.
