It's a good thing I love the location and production of Coachella enough to blindly buy another pass for 2014, but if they put out another fucking lineup sans some of the gets that you would THINK they should be able to pull off, I'm going to definitely consider abandoning it for a new "destination" festival.
Am I missing something about that Mountain Oasis lineup? Aside from NMH there isn't much to lose your shit about. NIN is playing lots of other fests this year (and I've already seen them twice anyway), Bassnectar, PL and HTDA were at Coachella, AC is at other fests too.
It might be unfair to compare Coachella and Bonaroo to this fest because of the size difference, but there's no way this lineup beats either of them.

Coachella at least had a hefty dose of creativity. Nick Cave and Grinderman, Violent Femmes, Dead Can Dance, Moby, Blur/Stone Roses - those were creative and made Coachella great in spite of generic shit most everywhere else. Most American fests don't even have that level of creativity, just throw shit against a wall and see how many tickets sell.
I'm in to that lineup because almost every artist listed is someone who I would absolutely love to see. Most festivals have a good chunk of names I don't know (which usually ends up being a good thing) or names that I just plain don't like, but that poster is fantastically suited to my musical tastes.
