FYF Fest lineup announcement next week.
I've been to this one the past two years because it's cheap to fly to LA from Eugene.
I'll probably go again this year if the lineup is good.

Someone forgot to tell the Boise booking people that Pauly D isn't an actual musician or artist in any way.
Vanilla Ice though? Maybe they do know what's up.

That is with out a doubt the fucking most hilarious lineup I've ever seen in my entire life.

Whoa, chaco was here? Crazy.
Don't feel weird about not knowing mid-tier acts on the OSL lineup. Goes with getting older, and with OSL having a pretty terrible lineup.
Do go see Camper Van Beethoven, though. And, uhhh, that Beatle fella.

Wow. Either this is a joke or Boise is even worse of a place than I imagined it could be.

I saw a poster for this earlier. That's a pretty good lineup. I haven't seen Andrew Rayel on very many lineups. He is a great producer, and the recorded sets I've heard sound pretty good. Krewella should be at the bottom of that poster, they have succeeded in making dubstep music that is super cheesy and generic even by cookie cutter dubstep standards.

Blech, I agree, Krewella are terrible. I watched them on stream when Ultra was happening, and I was shocked by how many people showed up. In my opinion it's the new lowest common denominator for dubstep, which is saying a lot.

I don't understand the need for several electronic music festivals per year in every city. It's ridiculous. Especially when a lot of the artists play every festival in North America.

There's gotta be demand for it if they keep throwing them! I sure as hell am not going to one of those standard cookie cutter festivals with tiesto and a bunch of trance music, but there must be enough people who will.

No. This is the correct answer.

Not that I really understand them but I think a lot of it has to do with the way that the audience wants it to be an event. It's harder to get completely messed up on a Wednesday night for a 2 hour show than it is for a weekend festival. Promoters have basically just started treating them as multi-day raves

Which is to say, drugs.

I think you are confusing pop house with trance. I don't don't think you know what real trance is. Most of the shit at those festivals is more house than trance, even if they try to label it trance.
