I actually ended up getting a chance to go to the game but didn't get there until kick and had to drive to Bellingham right after. I got home and watched it again because they didn't play any of the controversial replays in the stadium. Sigi ripped Salazar in his half time interview hardcore. It was pretty funny actually.

What the hell is up with this "football" comment anyway? We 'Mericans' understand the rest of the world calls soccer "futbol," but here in the good old USA, "football" means that sport which is by far the most popular sport on our continent. It's so important to Americans, it's championship is the day least likely for couples to be wed. The fucking league is called, "Major League Soccer." Do you know how ridiculous "Major League Football" sounds, and how much Americans would be pissed off it was called this? On the flip side, do you know how many Europeans would be pissed off if one of theirs said, "Those blokes played an outstanding game of soccer today." It is gigantically pretentious, nearly as pretentious as this post. Don't get me wrong, this isn't my opinion because I hate the sport. I don't. It's easy to hate soccer when 90 minutes of play routinely ends in a tie, but I'm not that much of a hater. I've played disc golf for 16 years, and I still think it's ridiculous when disc golfers call the sport "golf," while calling the real sport of golf, "ball golf." Fuck that. I'm fairly certain every American non-soccer fan will agree with me here, and every die hard soccer fan will at least understand you might be doing an injustice to your country by calling soccer "football."

Fucking hell. Those Seahawks need to play some better hand egg if they want a chance at the playoffs.

One of my favorite ways to fuck with my family, all of whom call soccer by 'football' and football by 'throwball,' is to call both sports football and talk about them interchangeably in the same conversation. Poor saps, they never know which football I'm talking about.
It's all about the little things.

Damn, when Evans is playing well we are super good in the midfield. I am not the biggest fan of him but last night he played excellent. Bring on LA and lets actually do something in the playoffs this year. Go Sounders!

Sucks we did Vancouver a huge favor by winning last night, but they couldn't bother to repay us by even tying the scum. Looks like we'll have to steal the Casciadia Cup back next season.

Yeah, that was a boring game too. I watched the Vancouver/Portland game yesterday and that is the type of game that puts people to sleep. I hate those teams so much. That cup will be back in it's rightful spot next year fo sho

Ha, there are bad games and good games. Teams I hate teams I love. Games I fall asleep in and games I don't. Same as every sport for me. BUT, if we are renaming the thread I would recommend Sounders thread because that is pretty much all that gets talked about on here.

Had a semi-sick day at home working from the couch and had the Europa league on. I haven't really ever paid much attention to these games but it is interesting seeing the Slovenian "giants" and Russian clubs that I have never heard of before.

My semi-sick day is mostly so I can feel better tonight for Dog Shredder haha
