I wouldn't imagine most casual to not-so-casual American sports fans knowing what FC means. And nah Hancho, his name is Nick. She is Canadian, and therefore more likely to know what an FC is than an American... even though it's only because the sun never used to set on the British Empire... Hahaha, nice.

Ok.. It's either Soccer or Football. I was pretty sure Americans call the original football, soccer though. That's where I'm confused. I didn't think soccer was a big sport in the US.. so it must be football.. but I'm a little familiar with the NFL and I haven't heard of the Sounders.

Soccer is getting bigger in the U.S. now, thanks in large part to the sounders... (and the world cup. I guess.) Football Club is what fc stands for, and that comes from the European tradition. AC stands for athletic club, which is basically the same thing.

I've recently been getting into hockey, mostly because when I saw Kevin Smith he talked about Wayne Gretzky for like, 45 minutes. Also, it's waaaaaaayyyyyyyyy easier to watch hockey in HD than it is in standard.

Don't make fun of my Oilers! They're just going for first draft pick... again. Next year we will be good. Promise.
And hockey in HD is badass. Except Gene Principe's face in HD. That's freakin terrifying

Yeah, the difference between HD hockey and standard is like, wow, there's a puck there? I thought everyone out there was tripping balls!

Oh geez.. try going to a real hockey game. Maybe its just cuz I'm female.. but when there's no camera to follow the puck around I get distracted really easily. Watching people in the stands, people on the bench, people on the jumbotron, the refs.. I really am a hockey fan I swear.

I have been to some hockey games (we have a couple minor league teams here) and I know exactly what you mean. Unless you have binoculars and 20/20 vision, you're there for the fights. And to cheer when the buzzer goes off.

WHY DID YOU ERASE THAT COMMENT ABOUT THE GLOWING PUCK?
It was brilliant.
