Season six was really good!
And it's not THAT cheesy.
Okay, it is. But I love it too.

I think How I Met... is an awsome straight foward sitcom.

I'm still trying to decide whether or not I'm annoyed that we already pretty much know how Ted "met their mother," yet the show continues on with him searching and dating other women. We now know the exact place where he meets her, so we also know that every other girl he dates is in fact, NOT his future wife. Kind of takes the fun out of the guessing game.
Ok I'm annoyed.

I like that show a lot, like really a lot. When it first started I was drawn in by the cast but couldn't handle the laugh track so didn't watch until the the fourth season was on then just marathoned that bitch. I'm so glad I got over the laugh track thing.
I just love how much they play with time and story structure. The whole crop of new shows that are trying to emulate them just can't pull that shit off. Plus Jason Segel is just wonderful. NPH too.

I know what you mean, but the story has to be able to progress. It would get really tiring if we stayed with that bait for the entire course of the show. One of the things that I really enjoy about the show in the first place is that they address relationships in a much more realistic way than most shows, especially sitcoms. They recognize that life is not a story with perfect cookie cutter versions of things. So Ted meets her but that doesn't mean they get together right away and have some storybook romance. I like to see things like other failed relationships because it furthers the characters stories, and that is what I am interested in.

Also, McLaren's sure attracts an unusually high number of hot and single women that sit at the bar by themselves. HOW DOES IT WORK!?

I just discovered that all of 3rd Rock from the Sun is on Watch Instantly, so that's been my bread and butter lately. Man do I love tiny JGL. Its one of the few shows with a laugh track that I can stand, as well as HIMYM.

We have been watching that for the last couple of months. I love that in almost all the titles for the episodes it has the word Dick in it.

Just getting caught up on Game of Thrones. Really liking it so far. Kind of like Spartacus but with the nice touch of less male frontal nudity. Some of us enjoy that sort of thing you know ;-) Haha touche! Although I was impressed with how brave they were with not shying away with displaing the fact that homosexuality was very common during that era.

I'm just stopping by this thread to once again profess my love for Treme. Treme is the best at TV.

Curb last night was great but almost too awkward during some of the scenes (which is saying something). Jeff being resigned to the fact that he can't get a divorce was enough to make it a great episode though.
