Dear gramma (and also maybe stormy a bit), I'm sorry I yelled at you about Fringe. Looking back, the girl walking around pouring brown liquor in our mouths may have been a contributing factor. But really, nobody should feel that strongly about a sci-fi show, even one with Pacey on it. Love, weenie.
I'm pretty sure Carl is my favorite character. Hahah, I love him. "I need to know where the gay wieners go!" Tricked into being Frank's cancer patient? Great tv. Pea, did you ever watch Angry Boys on HBO?
Absolutely. The only things it has in common with Shameless is HBO and a great sense of humor. Its one of Chirs Lilley's "mockumentary" series'- have you heard of Summer Heights High or We Can Be Heroes? Basically this crazy Aussie takes on a multitude of characters in ridiculous situations. It's pretty great.

Did anyone watch Under the Dome? It looks like it's going to be a lot different from the books, in a couple of fundamental ways that I did not expect. I mean I knew it would be different, but this is really different. Could still be good though, not rushing to judgment.

I have not read the book but I was lucky enough to be able to watch it with my mom who's love for Stephen King is paralleled only by HG and she pointed all of those things out to me as well as a few other pretty big differences. They definitely seem pretty willing to push the envelope with the show though considering that it is on one of the primary networks. I really feel like this has been a trend as they struggle to compete with cable ie: The Following.

Oh yeah I didn't even mention Phil Bushey, or Angie, or Duke. Huge differences. I'm fine with them making it their own thing, though, as long as it's good. Time will tell. Fortunately, Stephen King has this infallible tendency to make books that become great miniseries. It's like they're perfectly suited to the task. They rarely disappoint.
