I've been watching Shameless nonstop ... I can't tell if it's a guilty pleasure show or if it's actually redeeming but I'm leaning towards the latter...

I've been watching Shameless nonstop ... I can't tell if it's a guilty pleasure show or if it's actually redeeming but I'm leaning towards the belt sander... On today's episode , my phone thought that "latter" wouldn't make any more sense than "belt sander" in that sentence. Ok autocorrect , do your thing

HG and I are addicted to RuPaul's Drag Race. A bunch of my buddies went to high school with Maxx from last season (I think?) he's a cool guy

Weird Al to take Reggie's spot on Comedy Bang Bang. Discuss. Replacing Kid Cudi akshully, he's been manning the keys for a minute. But seeing as how I haven't seen any of those yet and love Weird Al I'm pretty stoked on this news. Sorry Kid Cudi.

Weird Al > Kid Cudi
Scott and Al are basically BFFs at this point, so it was only a matter of time before Al became a permanent cast member.
And speaking or Reggie, let's all go to Moogfest.

I love Reggie. I do not love Kid Cudi. I love Weird Al. Seems like a net gain for our fair city.

Well, season 3 of Kimmy Schmidt is out on Netflix. So maybe the real world isn't so bad after all

My limited TV time has been devoted to The Leftovers and American Gods of late. I'm still a few weeks behind on The Leftovers and I haven't even started American Gods yet. I'm in the middle of reading the second book right now. Plus, fucking Twin Peaks is back. And GoT later this summer. If I plan it right, I can probably just watch TV for the next 360 days. Showtime had a cool little mock up of the red room as a Twin Peaks promo at Sas this year that I kept saying I would check out "tomorrow". When I finally went inside on Sunday, they had swapped out all the Twin Peaks for their new show about standup comics that they were screening in the tent. I was so bummed.

Sad thing about the Twin Peaks stuff! American Gods is excellent and you should sexually get on that regardless of how much you've read. Also The Leftovers is the most insane and incredible show on TV right now. Though I need to run through Twin Peaks S1-2 again before I start s3.

I watched the originals of Twin Peaks again when it first came on Netflix and realized why it got cancelled after the second season. Season 1 is a solid gold classic, but season 2 really wanders and I lost interest, much like America did in the early 90s. But Fire Walk With Me was one of my all time favorite movies, so I'm really excited to see what Showtime does with it. I think they understand how high expectations are and they're going to pull out all the stops. On the subject of TV, I also need to say that Fargo is still, hands down, the best show not made by HBO or Netflix. There third season isn't even as strong so far as the first two, and it's still better than anything else on network TV, by far.

The new season of Twin Peaks is fantastic. They really let David Lynch do whatever he wanted, and the first 4 episodes feel like a mash-up of all his films (in the best way possible).
With that, Fargo, The Leftovers, Better Call Saul, and American Gods airing, its crazy how much quality TV there is right now.
