Objectification? For saying someone is cute? If it's not objectification it's just weird n' creepy. When a guy at under 100 posts decides to make one of those very few posts about a "cute chick" in one of the more personal threads on this board about someone's personal IRL friend, it feels kinda eewwwwwww. EDIT: It also tells the back story that before you decided to post in some of the many many music and entertainment threads you went cruising for cuties as a first stop of destination. Are you even posted in this thread? Do that and then it will seem less creepy (maybe).

I actually have posted my own photo in this thread. It was last year, I'll have to go dig for it. I haven't posted a ton, but I've interacted here off/on since before Squatch '11. Just within the last month, I posted multiple times in Rumor/Speculation threads and even posted my list in the "Prediction" thread. Just because I don't interact on a daily basis, doesn't mean I'm some internet creep "cruising for cuties". I recognize that Pea was posting a photo of himself, but that girl just caught my eye and I commented on it. Its not as if I asked for her number. I didn't anticipate it being a "thing" or I would have just kept it to myself and moved on. Objectification? For saying someone is cute? If it's not objectification it's just weird n' creepy. Objectification? For saying someone is cute? OK! If objectification is cool, consider me Miles Davis. No, for referring to a human being as Snowmen and treating her like a commodity. You didn't say, "hey that girl on the far right is cute," you were like, "one Snowmen, please."

Hah! She has snowmen on her sweatshirt. I'm not sure if you're just having a laugh here or are serious. But I'm just gonna leave it alone now. Have fun. Objectification? For saying someone is cute? No, for referring to a human being as Snowmen and treating her like a commodity. "One Snowmen, please." I am not going to feel bad or stupid about this. There is nothing wrong with saying someone is cute. What you did was treat her as an object to have. You did not even say she was cute. I am not trying to break heads here but I calls 'em as I sees 'em. I am not making a judgement about you as a person, I do not know you. But maybe it will make you more aware of the things you say in the future.

Ok, fair enough. I was saying "that girl on the far right is cute", but attempted to say it in a clever way. Clearly it was not taken as such, but it wasn't remotely intended as you have interpreted. If this were a lame mainstream comedy it would play out like this:
You would approach me and my group of friends. You would be portrayed as the sleazy player unaware of all social boundaries as you have only one thing on your mind. You then obliviously disrupt our conversation with your strangerness and tell one of my friends "Hey, you're cute!". I would then have a comical and perplexed look on my face, pause, and then turn to you extending my hand for a hand shake and say, "I'm Friendly Destroyer by the way, have we met before?". The audience would laugh as I've brought attention to the whole weird and socially awkward scenario that was sprung upon us. And then Adam Sandler would fall down a staircase.

Which is why I feel like it is worth pointing out. I am not saying you are some kind of letch, I am saying you should think about what you say. If I were that girl and I read that I would feel like a commodity.

Let's turn the attention back to my ridiculously awesome front-photobomb accomplishment. I think it is an incredible photobomb accomplishment. I can never seem to think about it in time to act.

Oh my god! You're the guy! Every time I look through this thread I feel bad that no one pointed out that Drew was not insinuating that you were fat, it just actually looks like there's a puppy sticking out of the bottom of your jacket! Look! Seriously, this keeps me up at night.

I'll take the socially awkward rap, its deserved.
I suppose I see where you're coming from. From my perspective, I have been involved enough to recognize most of the major posters here, and felt comfortable making a casual , off-hand remark like that. But I see how that can be perceived as creepy trolling. Not my intention.
I did try to meet up with the group last year. Switch was supposed to get in touch with me at some point, but I never heard from him.
