I can only drink whiskey and rye straight, anything that adds extra sugar or that waters it down tastes nasty to me. It's pretty bad, but I can drink whiskey like a fish drinks water or osmosis' water despending on which body of water that fish is living in. I'm probably closer to the one that osmosis' it. I have whiskey gills. This is factual evidence of why we need to hang out

probably buying a small (14ft) travel trailer at some point this week. So very excited. I want one of the hybrid ones with the option of a tent-trailer fold out, but they're too heavy to pull with my vehicle

Nice. I really want to buy some sort of camper van thingy. Staying in a tent with two kids sucks so a trailer or van would be nice to have at some point. Plus it would be nice to have something like that for Sasquatch.

I just always end up camping in shitty weather. We almost always camp on May long weekend and September long weekend, and more than once we've seen snow flying on those weekends. We also camp in Jasper quite a bit, and it's a little unnerving to be sleeping in a tent with a little dog in bear country or during elk mating season.
The timing is right, and I think we've found a little trailer that fits for us. Plus I've finally got a vehicle that can pull something, so I feel like I need to.

God dammit everyone get the fuck over to the Barbs thread and vote for Horned Fuckin' Gramma in the Hater Games. I've managed a most excellent comeback from what seemed like an inescapable trouncing by I8 in the finals but it won't mean shit if I don't win. I don't want to lose. You don't want me to lose. Simple math. Canadian folk, I know you don't really understand the voting process or democracy in general so I'll spell that shit out: GO HERE sasquatchfest.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=links&action=display&thread=849&page=48Scroll down to the little white box at the bottom and type the words HORNED FUCKIN' GRAMMA.

Uh thanks for interrupting...jeez...fucking haters!
Anyways, I agree that camping during those two weekends is dicey and I think I'd rather come face to face with a bear than a mating elk! Talk about a shitty situation.

I'll await my payment for my contribution to your campaign. By my count my post was responsible for about 3 votes in your favour.

Talk about a shitty situation. What kind of unit are you looking for? If you drive a truck of any kind you can probably pull a ultra-light hybrid. Basically a small travel trailer with a fold-out tent-trailer component. The new ones are a little pricey, but if you pick one up a year or two old they're reasonable. Can sleep like 6-8 people.

Oh it's a bit of a pipe dream that'll happen in time. I wouldn't mind Volkswagon Westfalia or something along those lines. I drive a Pontiac Sunfire, so pulling something is not an option. Oh...I've already cast my ballot for the Haters. Sorry HG.

The Pitchforks are bad, but they don't hold a candle to how bad CoS is. They have zero consistency and make straight up lies about shit. The one good thing is they have a comment section that you can point out all their terribleness on. When they reviewed the Flaming Lips @ Sas. they made no mention of the Soft Bulletin not being completed or the horse porn or anything. They were just like "solid set", because they clearly left halfway through, if they even went, to see Yeasayer. That's one of a thousand examples. Fuck those people. quoted for emphasis The biggest problem over there is that just becuase those boys and girls feel they LOVE music so much they feel they are capable of understanding and reviewing any genre. It's like they have no goddamn clue about anything and believe music is something that sounds hip, catchy, and people like to tweet about. Like that Spencer Krug review I posted a link to one day. I'm totally fine with someone not liking what I like (sometimes they are even better reads), but when that someone is clearly not liking the album only on the basis that it doesn't sound like the music he wants it to be or understands, that's pure bullshit. It happens every fucking time on that site. I alwas say it's as if they've picked someone to write a guide book on China who has never been to China themselves, but loves to eat Vietnamese food at home all the time. "You're qualified!". Plus this thing about how they are treating Blink 182 like a real thing in 2011 and not just like a side note is driving me bonkers. My list goes on and on...

If the site upsets you that much, why do you not just avoid it? I have heard of Pitchfork and COS and Brooklyn Vegan et. cetera, but cannot think of a time I have ever visited the aforementioned sites. I just do not get what makes them so influential.
