Homogenic is the Bjork album that really got me into Bjork. So good.

I've never gotten into Bjork either....I have a feeling this won't be my thing, but I will definitely give these a shot.

Start at the beginning, for sure. Debut, Post, and - to a lesser extent - Homogenic are all incredible records. Sadly it is all downhill from there, ranging from boring (Vespertine) to grating (Medulla) to unlistenable (Volta). This is more or less the definitive answer except you can swap those last three around however you like. I'd listen to Volta well before I would touch Medulla which is just fucking unbearable.

Ok, yep, uh huh. Bjork is the type of artist that you have to be at the right point in your musical journey to understand and enjoy her. I've been working my way through Debut, Post, Homogenic, and Medulla, and they're all amazing. I'm not really getting the hate for Medulla though. I'm on the 3rd track and loving the hell out of it. Very unique and interesting album...

I think the general reviews for Medulla were actually fairly solid when it came out. www.metacritic.com/music/medullafrankly, I'm surprised that HG isn't a fan because it is something that is much more up his alley than mine. Hell, I think the thing even has Mike Patton on it.

To be honest, Volta is her only album that I don't like. Post, Debut and Homogenic might be one of the most incredible 1-2-3's ever, and Medulla, Vespertine, and even Selmasongs are growers. And she's released so much b-material it's crazy. She actually sort of has a reputation for raking her biggest fans over the coals, but sometimes it produces really great shit, like this version of "Hyperballad:"

I think Pea would be a Vespertine guy. Try that one.

I'm pretty excited to raid Half Priced Books of their used Bjork albums today. I'll keep an eye out for that one, FD!

Oh, forgot about Selmasongs somehow. It is kinda more of a soundtrack than a proper album but for sure some ofy favorite Bjork tunes are on there.
Just don't watch the fucking movie.

Good recommendation, FD. Vespertine is very nice! Pagan Poetry is absolute bliss.

In the Amish Hair-Cutting Hate Crime, 7 suspects involved have been arrested, including their leader Samuel Mullet.
You can't make this shit up.

In pregnant at Wildhorse news:
My niece who came with us to Sasquatch this year in utero was born today. I can't wait to take her back in 17 or so years. That chick's got a good head start on the rest of those stupid babies who don't know good music from...well, pretty much everything. Babies, amirite?

Canadians can probably ignore this post...
Happy Thanksgiving, . Hope all goes well on this day where Americans like to prove that we deserve to be the most obese.
But seriously though, why do people feel the need to stuff themselves to bursting on this, the last Thursday of November? Don't they know that simply by taking bites that are half of their normal bite, they can get the same amount of taste out of half the food? People these days....
(Although if there was a stuffing bowl that just refilled itself, I'd probably die from overeating. Shit.)

To answer all of your stupid commie questions, it's because this is the most powerful and badass nation on the face of the god damn Earth and we can do whatever the fuck we want because of it. If we want to spend a day eating more food than we normally do then we'll god damn do it because we're not an impoverished third world country. WE'RE FUCKING AMERICA. AND WE'RE HUNGRY.
NOW YOU SHUT THE FUCK UP AND START BEING THANKFUL FOR LIVING WHERE YOU DO, HIPPIE.
