Called it RE: Nader/danl46.
Symptoms: excessive claims of youthfulness, unnecessary gregariousness and overuse of the word 'vinyl'.

Nah, dude, you're just being kind of asinine lately. Having people call you on it doesn't make them trolls, it just makes you asinine.

So if I am only staying four nights (driving back after the show Monday night), and if I can get a hotel in Moses Lake for only a bit more than the price of a spot at Wildhorse, what would you seasoned campers say are the primary benefits of staying at Wildhorse? Proximity is the obvious one, but I have a machine of a husband who doesn't mind the drive back to Moses Lake every night and I can crash immediately upon my ass hitting the seat of my car, that one doesn't matter a great deal to me. The burgers seem like a pretty serious selling point - can non-campers crash the campground and buy those, or is that a members-only benefit?

Seasoned campers can't speak to the benefits of Wildhorse because we won't go near it.

A purist. I see. Well anyone else out there who can tell me about the benefits of Wildhorse, aside from being slightly less pathetic than choosing a hotel?

It's not more comfortable than a hotel. The showers are hot but they're still outside. It's more fun, definitely. One of my favorite parts of Sasquatch is cooking breakfast and drinking the first few beers of the day and throwing the frisbee and playing bocce ball and cornhole. For me, that whole communal part of Sasquatch is half the experience. If you don't feel the same way, stay at a hotel.

Being in close proximity to other festival goers? Assuming meeting new people is something you enjoy.

Indeed. Love meeting new people. Close proximity, up for debate. Still, sounds like an excellent time. Thanks, everyone! Great and valuable advice to take into consideration. Part of me is wondering just how far I can push my husband - he is a Sasquatch Virgin and I'd like for him to enjoy it enough to come back with me again :-)

Part of me is wondering just how far I can push my husband - he is a Sasquatch Virgin and I'd like for him to enjoy it enough to come back with me again :-) Most of us here will say that "the people" is half (if not more) of the reason they go to Sasquatch each year. Think of what your own reasons are going for each year. I'm betting your answer is going to be very similar. So, in that case, why would you think that isolating your husband away from 50% of what makes this festival so special into a hotel room is going to convert him into a regular attendee? I am not a camper, I loathe it even, but ever since my first Sasquatch I can't wait to bust out my tent for any music festival. Try Wildhorse if you want a little more comfort, but don't deprive your husband of the essential Sasquatch experience his first time out.

I work on Monday, so probably nothing. Although I will be indulging my whiskey fantasies tonight and tomorrow.

Probably going to be hung over all day from the Sounders match. For the record, I'm considering abandoning my car in Seattle for the evening after the game so we can get white girl wasted.
