There is definitely a shift in what has long been considered normal stages in life. I'm 26 and I absolutely still feel like a little kid. It's fucking awesome. Well said. I'm 39 and don't feel a day over 32. I have all the responsibility of a 39 year old but have still retained my individuality & youthfulness and always remember to do what makes me happy. I use to tour with the Grateful Dead, I saw SCI at the first Sasquatch (but truth be told, no one there realized we were participating in the birth of something so magical, we were all just there for SCI). And now I am still finding the time to continue doing these things because they have aways made me happy, just not as many "party favors" involved now . We don't have to be the thirty something adults our parents were (assuming your parents were as "traditional" as mine). I don't feel old, I feel improved.

Didn't mean to sound preachy.

You didn't really sound "preachy". I just have very "non-traditional" parents.

I'm really sick of people saying that they're turning thirty and feel old! Wait, are you my friend Jill? Dammit Jill we're not old! Fair enough, Weenie. I don't feel old in the broader sense - just in the Sasquatch sense. I have not camped at the Gorge in years and I suppose I associate the camping scene with the hip young trendsetters. Probably just a misconception on my part. I really didn't mean to make that sound like such a dumbass, cliche, 'oh I'm getting so old, tell me I'm young!' kinda comment. I'm hoping I have another 70 years - triple digits for sure. Darth - you are an inspiration - very wise words. My thoughts exactly - I will be clown dancing through Memorial Day weekend just like I did when I was 22 :-)

Haha, no worries, you just struck something I've been hearing a lot recently obviously! There are definitely some moments at Sasquatch when I've thought to myself "I'm too old for this ship", but that's usually just when I'm grumpy at some mollied out 16 year old for stomping on my toes obliviously. And to answer the original question, yes the median age is a little older at wildhorse. But I've been going there since I was 23.

Weenie- Have you ever stayed in Premiere camping? I am just wondering what the differences or similarities are between it and Wild Horse? I love the free ride back to the camp site in premiere...

Never stayed in premiere. If we couldn't get into wildhorse this year we would have stayed there though, I think the shuttle is the main benefit/difference. We have stayed at wildhorse lots of times though and really enjoyed it, plus my boy's friends always stay there. I would be happy enough in general but we had the misfortune to camp next to a bunch of e-tards last year that shouted my boyfriend's name from 3-11 am almost consistently and for some reason he's soured on the experience.

As I said, never stayed in premiere, but here's my pros/cons: Wildhorse is a tropical oasis with an excellent restaurant and really nice people running it (and awesome showers & picnic tables and stuff). However, you do gotta do some walking and it seems like it's going to be hard to go party in general after the fest for me. Depends on what you're into.

yeah, I was robbed years ago in general which soured me on that experience, been in premiere ever since. And by robbed I don't mean I was stupid and left expensive electronics in my tent, they literally stole my sleeping gear. Premiere was just a fresh start again.
