I guess that's reasonable if she was picking Sasquatch over a vacation they were planning. There's a hole in your plan though; if she misses Sasquatch and goes on vacation, she won't be able to afford Osheaga. I think she can afford whatever she really wants. She has way more savings than me - was about to buy a condo as a rental unit but decided to hold off. And her SO (who she lives with, and she pays rent towards his mortgage) makes 2-3x what she does, so if going on a vacation together really was the reason, I'm sure he could afford taking her. I think the real issue is this dude being there that she has slept with, plus noone trusts me with their girlfriends haha. I may have a reputation for making sure everyone has a good time... whatever that means.

Why doesn't boyfriend go? .... if it were a country music festival, I bet he would... He isn't into this kind of stuff. And he considers our friends "hipster doofuses'.

If they both have money then they should just both come. It might be a bit awkward with the dude hanging out with the dude that banged his girlfriend last year, but everyone has a history and he needs to get the fuck over it. But if he gets this jealous he might not be the most enjoyable person to be around though and you might not want him at Sasquatch.
You just have to stop making sure everyone has fun and people will trust you. So there's your solution: stop being fun.

Sounds like a winner.
Honestly, I get being choked about going with a dude she has been with. I would be pretty choked if I were in his position. However, making her sell her ticket is extreme.

This dude is a part of our "core" friend group... she really can't avoid him being there. However, I dont see much of a future for a relationship where 1) there is this little trust and 2) he keeps her from doing things she really wants to do. Its unfortunate, I always rooted for this guy too.

This is why I don't bring IRL friends to festivals anymore. I've made enough festival friends that I can meet up with that don't carry the same day-to-day drama that I might experience with friends that I see all of the time. God knows I cause enough drama at festivals as it is.

Since I only get a halfsquatch this year, I'll be sure to pack in extra drama to make up for lost time

Why doesn't boyfriend go? .... if it were a country music festival, I bet he would... There's at least a handful of bands from other countries on the lineup.

Canadians who listen to country are even funnier than Americans who listen to country.

What happened to people being adult human beings? This is what I think about these last two pages.
I love country music AND I go to Sasquatch!

I should have distinguished real country from modern pop country. There really is some fantastic country music out there.

It's funny I was actually working on a Grooveshark playlist just yeaterday to share some fucking awesome country tunes. Unfortunately Grooveshark had only 15% of the songs I was looking for and most of the really spectacular ones I have are all on vinyl.

Hootie doing country these days is pretty great! I like that Jason Aldean cat too. And Miranda Lambert! She's great.
