Scientists say that the first human to live to 150 years old has already been born. I believe I am that human.

Yup, I went in '09. Definitely pretty decent festival considering the free-ness. Wish I coulda gone this past year with both Pavement and LCD being there and all. ohhh yeah, Pavement was pretty amazing. I'm also a HUGE Matt & Kim fan, so I was pretty excited about that! I had a ton of fun. Any favorites from '09? I remember thinking there were some cool people playing, but I can't remember anyone other than The National now. Are you from the area or went specifically for the festival?

I guess I am glad someone liked Pavement because we couldn't handle his diva bitch out behavior and left. I didn't come to see you throw a fit, dude.

Ugh. If I could pick a 'worst festival attended' it would have to be Pemberton.

The organizers weren't really prepared. I waited in a lineup of idling cars for close to four hours just to get parked. Then another hour to get a bus from my parking spot to the campsite - having to carry everything we needed for the entire weekend with us. They hosted it in a dusty field. It looked like a scene out of Mad Max. Plus, when you have Jay-Z and Tom Petty headline the the same festival, you get a trashy mix of people attending. Saw a bunch of drunken brawls, didn't feel safe leaving personal belongings in my tent, etc. All in all I had a horrible experience.
That all said, I know a bunch of people who had a blast. I just think after attending a few 'Squatch festivals, which are generally the best weekend of the year hands down, this was a big disappointment.

Sup guys. I'm yet another person jumping ship from Coachella to Sasquatch, although you could hardly call me a weathered festie by any stretch. Extremely excited to go to Sasquatch this year. Coachella '10 was a clusterfuck but I had nothing to compare to and I had a fucking blast.
This year, we like everything about Sasquatch more. Cannot wait.

Oh man we saw Why? and it was such a great show. We saw Dan Deacon the same week and the Why? show got kind of overshadowed, but he was great.

Ugh. If I could pick a 'worst festival attended' it would have to be Pemberton. To each their own for sure. First time festival I didn't expect organizers would have the logisitcs pefect. Fair enough it was horrible getting there, however with a car full of friends and piles of people all around you going to the same place, it was also a good time to meet new folk and socialize. Get stuck in traffic and pull out the camp chairs and sit in the sun, relax, hang out... Make the best out of a less desirable situation. I liked the fact there was a trashy mix of people, made for an ecletic mix to party with. Tired of someones music or a "stlye" of music or whatever, move on to the next group of tents... I never saw a single brawl, no did I feel the need to lock up my stuff, I guess I was camped in a good area with good folk around I felt trusting with. It was dusty, and that sucked, but you gotta take the good with the bad... Things I liked about Pemberton; headliners, like you said, Jay-Z, I'm not a rap man, but to say I saw Jay-Z... sounds good to me, Wolfmother, NIN, Tom Petty, My Morning Jacket, Death Cab for Cutie, Coldplay, Sam Roberts, Flaming Lips, Wintersleep, Tragically Hip are what come to the top of my head. Pretty good line up in my books. As well, possible that was the one and only Pemberton Festival and to say I was there is pretty cool. Another bonus, was that you could mosey about between the festival grounds and your tent. Wasn't someone playing that you cared to see, then head back to the tent, have a nap, make some supper, reload your drinks. No need to buy expensive festival drinks and/or food. All in all I enjoyed the festival, after weighing out the pros and cons. I'm not trying to say it was better than Sasquatch, I'm just saying it was my favourite festival. Amazing mix of bands, most of my friends attended, and it was close to home. I look forward to Sasquatch every year, and it is my favourite weekend of the year, Sasquatches are awesome, and that's why this will be my 3rd... Those are my shorts, and I'm stickin to them...

I personally had an awesome time at Pemberton. But it does seem to be pretty polarizing; either you had a blast, or you thought it was hell.
