Think he'll Dr. Garbanzoure it out? i'm not sure who doc garb is, maybe a member on the board? anyway, i suppose it's set to replace words like "f.igured" and "suppose" or something to Dr. Garbanzoure. i've read enough that i already knew the translation. all good!

I started reading through this board last year before my first Sasquatch and I found it really helpful. This year I want to be more involved with the board, so I Dr. Garbanzoured I'd introduce myself in the same way as others in this thread.
Name: Anna What my user name represents/means: When I get really excited about something (like Sasquatch) I get borderline obsessive. So I appreciate people reminding me to "calm yo tits", even if I ignore the advice. From: Calgary, AB Favorite Bands: Silversun Pickups, Modest Mouse, Brand New, Bassnectar, Neutral Milk Hotel, Santigold, Death Cab for Cutie, Kid Cudi, Local Natives, Metric, The Postal Service, Girl Talk, The Shins, Bright Eyes, Calvin Harris, Keane, Panda Bear, The Glitch Mob, Childish Gambino, Crystal Castles, Alexisonfire, Dear and the Headlights, Okkervil River, Beirut, Fleet Foxes, Friendly Fires, Iron and Wine, Arcade Fire, Mother Mother, Say Anything, Mumford and Suns, Empire of the Sun, Scroobius Pip, The xx, Xavier Rudd (no particular oder) My All-Time Favorite Artist: Silversun Pickups or Death Cab for Cutie First Concert Attended: Uhhh Avril Lavigne when I was like 10 Last Concert Attended: Deadmau5 All time Favourite Concert: Probably Death Cab with Bright Eyes, although a close second was Muse with Silversun Pickups All time Favourite Festival: Sasquatch and Shambhala - both amazing in different ways! Sasquatches Attended: So far, just 2012 Sasquatch Wishlist: I wish Local Natives were playing this year! But that's a small complaint with this year's amazing line-up.

lurker intro: this will be my 4th straight year of sasquatch, drive down from edmonton, alberta every year, it always falls around my birthday so that's pretty rad (this year we arrive at the camp on my birthday, so i don't have to spend the whole day driving like last year), and last year i camped right beside horned gramma, i recognize him from some pic thread on these boards, gonna be more active now, so Dr. Garbanzoured i'd say hi. top 5 performances from last 3 years: pavement, jack white, spiritualized, dj anjali and the incredible kid, lcd soundsystem Where were you camped near us? Did we ever chat? Welcome!

does it really matter? like really? Yes. It really and truly does. It is a tiny fraction of an effort to not bastardize the English language any further.

Welcome! i'm not even sure if we really chatted.. i'm sure mostly just friendly acknowledgement haha. we were one or two spots further away from the road by the fence, hope that makes sense. the only recognizable feature that i had was that most of the time i was wrapped in a hudson's bay blanket! weird thing is: all three years i've been, i've camped within 50 feet of that spot, i love it though!

Cool, if you saw people with unicorn horns it was definitely us. But I know the fence you are talking about.
Also, for real on the using shift thing.

i just think an online message forum is a silly place to try to lay down the law when it comes to grammar and punctuation etiquette.
the dude didn't sound like a total melvin, apart from abbreviating Sasquatch, he just didn't feel like capitalizing anything. i have little issue with that.

hah, this whole time i thought i was being told to use shift because it was some sort of shortcut to get rid of the filters
....but now i get it, and i won't conform!

This is a community, not a chat window. We have conversations about things. It seems to be the consensus and that is part of being a community. Also, typing like an adult. It may seem small, but people can hardly spell anymore let alone type with proper punctuation and grammar. It would be nice to not be part of that problem, at least to the best of our abilities.

Ahhh the perks of being a new guy. You win, and at least the punctuation was mostly correct.
