oh, sorry is this a foul-language-free zone as well? Haha, noooooo. No, this forum is decidedly NOT a No Swear Zone. Souly is right, though. You are among like-minded people, but subtlety is requested for the sake of propriety. Full disclosure: I saw Smashing Pumpkins on the Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness tour in 1996. Opening act was Garbage. Additionally, my father's business partner at the time was a woman named Terri Rein (née Vig). Terri is the sister of Butch Vig, who is the drummer for Garbage as well as the producer extraordinaire responsible for running the boards on Siamese Dream (as well as Nevermind). Long story short: backstage passes. It was an incredible -- fucking incredible -- performance. Fuller disclosure: my cousin named his first-born son Corgan. Cool kid, but quite possibly the most embarrassing thing in the world is to have Billy Corgan as your namesake. Sorry, didn't mean to talk shit about your favorite show. I just don't accept any 'Smashing Pumpkins' touring unit or album as anything that should be called the Smashing Pumpkins. Billy Corgan has always been a fuck; D'arcy, Jimmy Chamberlin and James Iha were what made the Pumpkins great, to the extent that they ever were.

Fullest disclosure: even at that age, I had ZERO interest in meeting Billy Corgan. And by ZERO interest, I mean there was no way I was going within fifty yards of a that Uncle Fester-lookin' motherfucker after he'd been on tour all summer without bothering to wash that stanky-ass ZERO shirt that he wore in literally every city from Boston to Sacramento. I did not take advantage of the backstage pass. My little brother did, but he was the real Pumpkins fan anyway.
