'09 we had the best crew come down with us. It always has a soft spot in my heart. But really, I can come up with something for every year.

Wow, '09 over '10 as favorite festival? Surprising. Welcome. Grizzly Bear, EITS, Shearwater, The Walkmen, THe Decemberists, The Dodos, King Khan, Deadmau5, Crystal Castles, and the one and only Mike Watt... ...How could one not be down with '09?

You guys realize how many bands we're getting from '09 back right?
Bon Iver M. Ward Shearwater Blind Pilot The Walkmen St. Vincent Silversun Pickups Santigold Explosions in the Sky Girl Talk Blitzen Trapper Todd Barry
It's like an '09 greatest hits compilation except where they also have a bunch of new tracks too.

Another weird random note:
The Comedy lineup of Monday of '08 is insane:
Michael Ian Black, Eugene Mirman, Michael Showalter, and Marc Maron all on the same day. That just sounds too good to be true.

Will say that '10 Dirty Projectors set was one of the best i've ever witnessed at the fest. FUCK IT...every SQUATCH is the best fest i've attended...

Were you named after Brad Pitt in Legends of the Falls? 9 out of 10 Tristans were named after Brad Pitt in Legends of the Falls. No lie. Also, 9 out 10 mothers will lie about the fact that they named their son after the sex symbol hunk-a-man that was Mr. Pitt in Legends of the Falls. What I'm saying Chud, is that your Mom secretly wants to do you. I'm also saying "Welcome to the board!"

The comedy lineup in '08 WAS too good to be true. The original UCB was there that year too, but the comedy 'tent' was actually one of those buildings over by where the beer garden is now. You literally had to stand in line for two hours just to HOPE to get in, and then you probably wouldn't anyway. What a fucking mess.

Another fun note that totally proves a point you made earlier Gramma:
Todd Barry will have been at every Sasquatch I have.

I was in 7th grade and didn't know what weed smelled like at the time. My Dad was on duty to attend with me and I asked him who farted. He then told me what it was. That was an epic moment. The show was Busta Rhymes into Usher into 112 then Puffy. It was fun actually but i was in 7th grade haha

Yeah Busta's backdrop was elaborate too. I remember being excited back then to see Mase but he ended up getting religious and stopped touring with them.
