You would have that reaction what with your vast knowledge of respiratory systems.

Question on my Respiratory Pathophysiology final today: What is the 5 year outlook of Lung cancer? Answer is 1 in 10, and that is fucking depressing, only 10% survive beyond 5 years.

I hope you have had good experiences with RT's, a lot of our curriculum is based around asthma.

I truly appreciate RTs. It is always unfortunate circumstances when I have to work with them because that means I am in the hospital, but they have been great. Especially when I was a sophomore in high school and got walking pneumonia and almost died. That was when I got my home nebulizer! These days it is fairly controlled and I have the nebulizer if I need it, but there have been occasions I have needed to go in. I salute you!

I'm glad you have it under control. It's also interesting as their was also a question on my final about walking pneumonia. Do you know what your Asthma trigger is, if you have a certain one?
Hopefully it's not pet dander...

Pet dander isn't really that bad, sometimes it can depend on the pet but it is not really a concern. Wood smoke triggers it, and sometimes fragrances like perfume can. Super strenuous activity as well. It really does vary. But I have been diagnosed since I was two and have learned how to keep it under control when it flares up. One of the worst things you can do is panic, as that makes it much worse.
Sorry for hijacking the thread! I am currently listening to some lady talking really loud through my cubicle wall.

Well I am a well of information on this topic and am happy to discuss it! Do you learn things like if you are wheezy you can drink caffeine and that will help because it is a bronchial dilator? Also THC is a bronchial dilator, which is funny, but you can feel it in your lungs and if you were using a vaporizer it could actually be helpful. They probably don't teach you that one.

Yeah, Caffeine actually falls into the same drug class as theophylline. I did an English paper on THC's effects as a bronchodilator, well actually the paper also included the bronchitis related to chronic marijuana use.

People think I'm weird that I legitimately love the taste of cough syrup (also a great song by Young the Giant) I think Robitussin is delicious but I'll only drink it when I'm actually sick. Anyone with me on that?
