Yob - CatharsisYob - The Illusion of MotionYob - the Unreal Never LivedYob - AtmaHave you listened to these guys a lot? Do you have a recommendation for the uninitiated? I heard their name tossed around a few years ago, but never really listened to them til just now. Absolutely loving them the last few days. They should be a perfect warmup for Tool. There is not a lot of variation in their sound across all the albums, so pretty much any one will give you a good feel for their sound.

I recommend watching this video of their Hellfest 2012 performance. An hour set from them is like 4 or 5 songs. Also the only Yob album I could find on Spotify is their live album from Roadburn 2010.

All of their full length albums are only about 4 songs too. Google Play has 4 of their studio albums and the live one.

MIA - Matangi Tyler, the Creator - Wolf Outkast - Aquemini Sun Kil Moon - Benji The National - Boxer Cage the Elephant - Cage the Elephant The White Stripes - De Stijl
I think The National is finally starting to click for me. I've found myself more and more seeking out their albums to listen to, and not in a scientifically curious way, but rather because I just want to listen to them.

Neutral Milk Hotel - In The Aeroplane Over The Sea Parliament - Mothership Connection (album), also Flashlight (song). Groovy song. If you've never heard it, give it a listen. Sly and the Family Stone - Stand Sly and the Family Stone - There's A Riot Goin' On Earth, Wind, and Fire - All 'N All
Been in a bit of a funk this last week... and Neutral Milk Hotel is brand new to me and I really like them. Their singer has a unique voice that at first is kinda scratchy and screechy, but it weirdly grows on you after a few listens. And I love the horns. Definitely on my must see list.
