I posted the video before I watched all the way through, but now that I've seen it: wow! I'd love to see them play an early evening set at Sasquatch on the Bigfoot.

Here's a live set of Darkside performing for Boiler Room: Oh my fuck yes this is awesome! I'm definitely up for more John Talabot/Matthew Dear sized crowds in the dance tent. So much room to move around, and everyone in there seems to be really into the music and not just there for a SICK DROP.

After the way Pitchfork (justifiably) jizzed all over themselves in their review of Psychic, I imagine that guys are gonna be at every festival next year.

Kraftwerk - Man-Nature-Technology'The hell is dis? 2013?!?! 'Radioactivity (High-Life Mix)'?!?!?! MUST HEARI love that Kraftwerk have embraced the fact that they aren't going to write any more groundbreaking material, and as a result have devoted the remainder of their career to extensive reworking of the classics and stellar 3D concerts. STELLAR 3D CONCERTS THAT WOULD BE PERFECT FOR SASQUATCH

Right? I stumbled onto it randomly and had no idea what it was, and outside of discogs there's very little information about it out there but there are some amazing mixes of the classics on the disc. Kraftwerk should headline each day of Maysquatch.

It's just, like, The Mix remixed by other people who aren't in Kraftwerk, right? Like DJs'n'stuff?
I became suspicious when Freddie Mercury introduced 'Tour de France', albeit hilarious.

The Mix was a seamless mix though, wasn't it? There are no transitions on M-N-T, it might just be a collection of alternate edits? Either way, it's great.

The Mix was a seamless mix of the classics re-mixed, but this sounds like a re-re-mixed Mix...or something. Because Kraftwerk are goofy, but I don't think they'd pull out a Queen sample like that on their own.

I like the cut of your jib. How's about that fuckin' Swans album, eh? It's amazing! I luckily got to see them at Sled Island back in June, and it was honestly one of the best shows I have ever been to. I feel that this album does a great job of capturing some of the intensity of their live show, which isn't an easy task.

I saw them at Bonnaroo! That tour was kick-ass! 'Oxygen' has been stuck in my head since that show, and the way they jammed on 'The Seer' was unbelievable.

Nice! I had a friend that saw them at Bonnaroo as well and he said it was incredible. 'Coward' was a live highlight for me, it's such a brutal song and I'm happy that they chose to play material from some past work. I agree with you about 'Oxygen' and 'The Seer' though, and I think that those two were probably the best moments.
Sled Island commissions artists every year to make unique posters for specific shows during the festival. I managed to get one of the Swans ones! I hung around after the show to meet Michael Gira and get my poster signed. He is an awesome guy and he seems to genuinely care about his fans. I don't think I've ever met an artist that was so appreciative of his fans coming to see the show.
